Historical Overview and Introduction

Only the dead have seen the end of war…

In ancient time the powerful and Mysterious O’sahdii came to earth. Choosing it’s lost and doomed people to relocate and settle the stars, creating branches of the Human family tree on alien worlds and altering them to suit the worlds they inhabited. Over the long centuries, some flourished and grew powerful; others faded into memory or were destroyed by war disease and genetic flaws resulting from the O’sahdii engineering. For generations the Mysterious O’sahdii and their agents the Nephilum kept the peace ensures that wars of genocide were quashed. Enforced a common language and generally leveled the playing field of technology and science. Leaving the races to survive or fail based on their own merits while ensuring none failed due to outside interference.

For ages Earth was sealed, no one allowed to interfere with the evolution and advancement of Terran Humanity. Left unmodified and untainted b off world influence the Humans of Earth advanced and collapsed, created and destroyed, never knowing of their scattered kin looking up to stars they thought empty. Terran Humanity was shaken from its internal strife by the sudden arrival of alien ships and the apocalyptic disease war and civil unrest. For four decades, the world of Earth was plunged into a hellish series of catastrophes.
The population fell from 8 million to less than four in a single decade. Even the end of their internal convulsions offered no respite from death and war. Mankind suffered the ultimate proof of extraterrestrial life. Armed and genocidal invasion by the Najuhlim, as mankind struggled to defend itself, cities burned and millions died. Soldiers fought to the last man to defend the besieged enclaves of the few nations powerful enough to resist the onslaught of the Najuhlim Zealots.

Out of the shadows of the solar system ships arrive in the hundreds, sleek polish gunmetal blue daggers unleashing missiles and fighters to sweep the invaders from orbit and landing legions to break the back of the surface forces of the Najuhlim. The combined forces Of the Tau Imperium the most powerful of the Human descended factions arrived led by the warships of the Tau Valkiir, the women who were the source of the Valkyrie legends. Amazon warriors armed with weapons and armor beyond the most advanced weapons used by earths defenders.

As they ships arrived carefully concealed enclaves of Tau revealed themselves adding to the firepower of the Imperial fleet. Hidden among the population of Earth concealed by careful counter intelligence and slight cosmetic augmentation the. Tau and Quetzl relief forces swooped in to save their Terran cousins. War raged for another five years, Earth forces receiving training and equipment that quickly brought Earth technology to the current off world levels. Earths rescue was not one sided, when the Tau arrived they learned that in many fields of study earth science exceeded off world science.

After the sudden disappearance of the O’sahdii and the apocalypse of the “Sorrows.” Earth was nearly destroyed.  Now a century has passed since the Invasion and Relief of earth; ships flying the TAE (Terran Authority Executive) registry now ply the space lanes.

TAE (terran Humans) and their relatives now forge ahead with their goal of unifying all the Human splinters into one Commonwealth, to turn back the enemies of Humanity. Wars are fought on the fringes and in the Very halls of power to gain control of the new Commonwealth and the Tau Imperium. A young Empress sets on an uncertain throne.

Tau Noble families spar and joust for influence and wealth, Corporations seek to unseat one another, By espionage, covert operations and overt warfare. Colonies struggle for autonomy and the ever present threat of the Onai, Q’sa and Najuhlim force even the smallest colonies to become armed camps to survive. Valkiir Marines, O’maeda fleets And Human Shock Troopers hold the line. While mercenaries, trouble shooters, explorers and scoundrels seek their fortune in the turbulent currents flowing through O’sahdii space
