I will try not to leave without warning next time, although Weekends are usually slower for me.

Some version of the flu waylaid my family this past week.  I'll post this evening (Saturday).  Someday we will hit a rhythm and break out from this terrible stop-go-stop-go I've put you through.

Ok, soap opera life continues---seriously, trying to make light of a terrible situation. Nothing like other tragedies in the world, but one of my best friends' house burnt down in the March 12 wildfire near Choctaw, OK (about 15 miles away). They've been staying with us for the last 8 days or so. I haven't had any time for play.

But I'm coming back and coming back *soon.*

I really do have hope for this campaign. I don't mind waiting as long as it takes for the DM to deal with RL. Just letting you all know I'll be here.
Also, anybody here play Pathfinder? 4th ed left a bad taste in my mouth, wondering if I might like Pathfinder...

Yes, I certainly do play pathfinder. I've actually got a fairly long-running PF campaign going.

I also play PF. I've found it to be an excellent successor/add-on to D&D 3.5, and the module series are especially high quality.

I enjoy 4E as well, but its simply not the same 'feel' as I get from 2E and 3.5/PF, so I can understand some people getting a bad taste from it.

What's the learning curve for someone who was competent in 3.5?

Low. You'd have to adjust to an easier and simplified skills system, and double-check spells before you cast them to see if they've been changed. The grapple/trip/overrun rules all work on the same system as well, which is pretty simple to learn. I'd guess 2-4 sessions to figure out and remember most of the changes.

Yup!  I have an archer pally in another game, and smite evil + rapid shot each round is ridiculous!

Hah, a bit late a post Kasumi. I'm not entirely certain this game is alive.
