Re: Team One: counter Ambush
Elsbeth was glad to back on the Crow. She made her way with her mission mates (at the least the injured ones) to meet with the Marshal, nodding to Victor and M'kira along the way. Elsbeth removed her helmet, tucking it under her arm as she reported in and accepted the brief embrace from T'risa; she was a bit surprised at the physical display, but tried not to show it. And though she would liked to have gotten cleaned up and headed to sick bay, Elsbeth recongnized that time was of the essence and dutifully followed the others into the galley and waited to be debriefed.
She waited respectfully to be addressed, standing at ease. Honestly, she did not have much more to report to the Marshal. Since the Marshal had been in mental contact with the team the entire time, Elsbeth was pretty sure that T'risa had pretty much all of the tactical and strategic information and history that she needed. Still, Elsbeth shared her perceptions of the Q'sa troop strength and tactics, as well as discussing any perceived strengths and weaknesses of the Warrior caste now that she had actually fought one. She also discussed what she knew of the bunkers and their construction - at least in the brief moments she had had to look at them. Of course, there was all of the data in her armor's recorder; and Elsbeth offered up all of the telemetry data that was contained within for download and review. She closed her report with an apology, "I regret, Ma'am, thatI was unable to capture my opponent alive. I... I know that you wanted him for questioning. I felt that neutralizing his threat was of greater importance once he disengaged." She gave the Marshal a slightly crooked smile, "And ... I... I wasn't about to let him get away, if I could help it. I may have gotten a bit carried away." She shrugged slightly, which in her armor was a bit of an exaggerated motion that churned up a little dust, before she continued, "I also could not salvage any weapons along the way. I had been collecting them ... But when we retreated, they were lost in the haste."
With that, Elsbeth ended her report and waited for any questions. Over her mental link, T'risa (and likely both M'kira and Leo as well) could sense that the Tae woman was torn - her surface thoughts were quite easy to read. While, she was ready and willing to entertain any further questions or speculation, Elsbeth really wanted to get to sick bay. Her link to Balkiir had made her keenly aware of his condition. And upon reentering the Crow, the proximity had only strengthened that awareness - threatening to overwhelm her at times. Only once during the debriefing did she let her masque crack, when a momentary flash of pain from the big male Tau was relayed to her when one of Aziza's attending auto docs had taken another biopsy sample from him. So, the tall Tae woman stood there, ready to answer more questions, but hoping that there would be no more.
