Trey glances back towards Aziza again, his eyebrows climbing slowly upwards. At last, he speaks, pulling his attention from the comms briefly to do so.

"Azi... when was tee last time you got out of tee ship?" He begins, before that grin comes back again. "I be no disrespect, now, but tere be not enough hours in tee day to be full of worrahs for all tat stuff. Sometimes, yah got ta just focus on tee im-poh-tant tings."

Wow, can you believe that was over four years ago real-time?

Trey blinks at the announcement, eyebrows climbing towards his brow as he considers the implications of the statement. By all means, from what he'd learned by chatting with the others around the camp itself, the team had been here for a bit.

"How long ago be tat, Azi?" He asks, finally looking up from the console. And flashing that bright, toothy smile. "I an' I tink yah need ta get out moar. Get some propah green undah yah feets."

Aziza answers in a small voice, pulling in and emphasizing her protruding ribcage as she considers all the dangers outside the ship.  "And there are being enemy robots, and unexploded ordinance, and many other hurtful dangers besides.  Only being inside the ship is safe."

The automation purrs softly as it reports the completion of the upgrades and the transfer of the drone and missiles to the launch racks.
A nervous mewling sounds as the drone indicates it is prepared for flight and sends test data from it's sensors tot he control system.

The terrain ahead of the Crow is rocky, and covered with one of the few stunted thorny foressts in the arid wastelands. The ships flight path takes it close to this area, but not directly over it.

He turns back to the console, logging the completion of the drones, and continues.

"This planet is being have dreadnoughts of unknown but likely hostile intention." Aziza counters smugly.  "We are being have to wait for a safer planet to disembark."

Concerned at the lack of response to her signalling, Aziza boosts the power to the communications system and tries hailing the others again.

The drones and sensor packs streak off intot he uncharted sections of Aziza's grind. for several minutes the drone reports no activity, energy signatures or potential hostile targets. The missiles deposit their sensor packages as planned and begin to feed back direct data from the area as well.
After about ten minutes the drone relays a signal from one of the packages. The missile package indicates the presence of a low strength electronic signal within the area. A signal which matches closely the type of signal sometimes associated with a remote operation device used in military hardware.

" Ya, I be learning the guns with my Brothers." Trey replies and slides intot he right hand gunners position bringing the Crows point defense guns, and main weapons online.

The drone begins to move into the area the signal originated from. Almost immeadiatly a second drone darted from cover and began to maneuver violently trying to get on the much faster Modified missiles tail.
The drone is a SQz 150, a standard model usually manufactured by an O'maeda firm and sold on the open market. the small arrow head shaped device mounts light autocannons to defend itself or destroy other drones.
The hostile drone sweeps the smaller faster missile drone with a number of rounds. The Missile Drone dumps its data packet in a ditressed sounding squeal, then pops flares and chaff bundles, as it darts, and dives and twists. The Smaller drone accelerates to twice the speed of sound rocketing away fromt he Slower hunter killer drone exiting it's weapons range in short order.

The hostile drone is joined by larger attack drones that began to spiral outward searching for the carrier vehicle that launched the missile drone. one swings in the direction of the Crow and activates it's active pulse radar in search.

OOC
Aziza you may target the drones with your weapons and point defense guns, or attempt to acoid detection.

Re: Airborne Patrol

In a flash of boiling plasma, exploding warheads, and kinetic impacts, the target vanishes fron existence. the combined firepower of the Crows weapons also reduce the stand of trees, boulders and a sizable portion of a hillside into smouldering ruin.

among the fallen tree, scattered bolders, and molten rock a low streamlined shap is visable. Smaller than the Crow it's blue black hull is a familiar sight. An outdated escort craft now most commonly seen among privateer squadrons as a commerce raider.

The small lightly armed warship is a threat to most commercial ships due to it's high speed and maneuverability but facing the crw it seems to be a missmatch. The cesti's heavier guns and equal agility giving Aziza the edge in a stand up fight.

Deeply concerned at the sight of a warship, even a smaller one, Aziza debates with herself for a bare second and then turns the Strange Wonderful Black Bird With the Cunning to Use Tools and a Love of Shiny Objects around, pulling away for fear of being flanked by more drones while engaging the warship.  Meanwhile she examines the sensors briefly to see if there are any more contacts hidden and waiting to ambush her.

No further contacts appeared as the scout powered up and lifted, it's sensors going active as it began to maneuver and put some space under it's hull to prevent Aziza from pinning it down and bracketing it with her superior weapons.Twin missile tubes slid open on the roof of the scout as it began to track the Crow with it's fire control radars,

Options:
 fire weapons
Use sensors to confuse enemy weapons fire
maneuver to use ground as cover and fire over the hills.

Re: Airborne Patrol

Aziza's lips peel back a bit from her teeth and her brow furrows in concentration as she begins a faint snarl, which in any other Cesti would be a sign of rage rather than a mild and slightly pathetic attempt at bluffing the universe.
Still, bluffing or not, Aziza intends to go down at least making a token attempt to defend herself, so she quietly snarls at her viewscreen, then toggles a small discreet button that fires every single weapon on the ship at once.  Most of them miss, as is only to be expected in such a hostile universe, and Aziza braces herself for inevitable destruction when the enemy ship counter-fires.

One Plasma cannon hit AC 15 for 54 damage, 1 Mass Cannon hit AC16 for 56 damage, all others nigh-certain misses.

Re: Airborne Patrol

The enemy scout seemed occupied with it;s power up and take off maneuvers. caught flat footed it was an easy mark for the Crows weapons. The heavy mass cannon, and plasma guns found their mark punching holes in the lighter ships armor and systems. and while the missiles were not well targeted the ship was caught close enough to the ground that blast effects, and debris from the multiple impacts below it seemed to find their mark.
The unknown ship maneuvered violently trying to evade the impact of more weapons fire, it's crew seemed surprised that it had been detected and unready for a fight with a larger more advanced warship.Instead of returning fire it fought for altitude, maneuvering room, and time to bring it's shields online more valuable than return fire it seemed.

" OOC:

The enemy ship still needs a few more rounds to bring her guns online and activate her shields. The crow is assumed t be on full alert, weapons armed and shields up

Pilot and attack rolls please Aziza..and welcome back

Aziza pushes on the accelerator and moves her ship higher, getting above the enemy ship in hopes of reducing it's movement options and keeping it pinned between herself and the ground.  With several guns on top, she's reduced to pinging it with a single round from the ship's mass cannon as she angles by.
As an afterthought, she uses one arm to activate the ship's communications and starts jamming transmission.

The smaller craft managed to weave out of the way of the mass cannon shot. The explosion tossing up dust, debris and scrub brush across the hillside. Darting first one way then the other the pilot of the scout found the bulk of the Crow constantly overhead.
Too lightly armed to fight, too poorly flown to escape the ship settled to the ground and began to transmit on all channels it could." Attention Cesti Vessel, we surrender. Cease Fire we Surrender."

Re: Airborne Patrol

Aziza is quick to react and a last volley of incoming missiles suddenly turns in midcourse to vent their explosive wrath on a completely undeserving hillside.
"This is being Captain Aziza of the Strange Wonderful Black Bird With the Cunning to use Tools and a Love of Shiny Objects.  Cut power to your weapons systems and then landing and turn off all non-vital systems.  This is being good day, and I am being inclined to accept your surrender as charitably as possible.  Please to be naming your terms when ready."

Aziza spent a moment congratulating herself on managed to get through the entire sentence without hyperventilating, which she indulged in now.  Surrender?  Who surrendered?  Enemies were supposed to be trying to kill one's self and, if lucky, die trying.  Surrender wasn't expect at all, and she had no idea how to cope with it.  Were they prisoners now?  Would she have to feed them all?  What if she had to let them on board the ship and locked them in rooms, did any of these people harbor horrifying parasites?  Would it violate laws on the treatment of prisoners to check?  How invasive were checks allowed to go?  She didn't know.  The pacing, hyperventilating feline calmed down.  There's was only one thing to do when you had a problem that you couldn't deal with, make it somebody else's problem  So she keyed off the signal jammer and began transmissions.

" Copy, Strange Wonderful Black Bird With the Cunning to use Tools and a Love of Shiny Objects..." The Voice on the radio replied needing to take a breath during repeating the name of the ship.
The scout grounded itself and powered down, plasma from it's Quantum reactor venting as it went into a full shutdown.

A few minutes later Several O'maeda Tau filed out of the hatch of the ship, and raised their hands turning to show they were unarmed. Twenty minutes later three suits of familiar power armor Appeared over the horizon.

Re: Airborne Patrol

"Miss T'risa is being request my assistance.  I am being need leave you here to guard prisoners." Aziza notes, worry tinting her voice.  She briefly examines options to make the prisoners more secure.

Guard robots?  She has one of her toolbots brandish a screwdriver threateningly, and ponders a moment.  It's scary to her, but other humanoids have completely insane responses that seem to preclude Aziza's own level of rational fear, and might not find a rolling toolbox with a screwdriver menacing enough.

Build something?  It's always her first response to a problem and it's worked so far.  She examines the manifest a moment, then deploys several robots along with a thousand yards of wire and a crate of plastic rods to double as fence posts.

"I am being send robots to build temporary stockade for containment of prisoners.  I and rest of constabulary forces are being return shortly with better options." she finally sends before gently boosting the thrusters and slipping the ship upward again.
