GURPS Highlander wanted

I’ve floated this idea before, but I’d love to play in a modern-era Highlander game using GURPS. I loved the Adrian Paul Highlander TV show from the 90s, and it would be interesting to play through something similar. This could be a solo game, a collection of solo games that might intersect on occasion, or a small group of players (perhaps friends like Meethos and Duncan, or a Watcher character like Joe, or a student-mentor relationship like Duncan and Richie). Flashbacks to previous eras could come with consequences for failure that don’t involve death (an enemy, or some secret brought to light, or an avenue closed that could have provided help in the present day.)

For inspiration, here’s some work that was done on Highlander for GURPS 3E: http://www.amadan.org/GURPS/GURPSHDR.htm

Well this certainly sounds cool. I’d be another player, if a GM was looking for numbers.

I would so much love to run a Highlander game in GURPS!

The next game I was planning on running was a game about up to four college students who "today" discover the hidden supernatural world as they become part of it. A mix of Shadow Hunters, the first Charmed tv-show, some elements of the World of Darkness, without it being the World of Darkness (I'm not super familiar with the setting), with a few other bits and pieces thrown in.

A game where each student becomes some sort of supernatural creature (several could become the same type of creature). One of these "supernatural creatures" could be the Immortal. Would you be willing to play in that type of game? Where different characters joined different, overlapping, supernatural communities? It would mean that any immortal PC would be a newbie though.

I'd definitely be up for playing an Immortal in a world with other supernatural creatures. Sounds like a lot of fun, Dragondog!

I wouldn't mind trying to run a highlander game.  I'm not much on rules and prefer a good story.  If you're willing to work the rules, I'm willing to run the game.
