PTU Pokemon game with latest errata's

Hi everyone,

I grew up when Pokemon came out in Europe and the explosion of Pokemon Go's popularity a couple of years ago really rejuvenated my appreciation for it.

PTU has made a very good attempt of making the videogames playable as RPG's. The core PTU 1.05 rules unfortunately have some hiccups. Luckily one of the leaders in the PTU community has carried on with ironing the creases with some of the rules/moves and created an updated Pokedex for Gen 7.

Those can be found here: https://www.tapatalk.com/group...ilation-a-t3524.html

Mainly I like two sorts of main concepts:
  1. A Pokémon league game where trainer combat is not used
  2. A complete fantasy setting without Pokémon leagues, where trainer combat is expected

PS: with quite some experience playing PTU games, I very much like 2 additional rules:
  • The trainer revision (and Naganadel version of sheets) suggested by DataNinja in the link above
  • Reducing the maximum of carried Pokemon by 6 to 3 --> strung out battles kill games in PTU pbp

Who's up for playing and who's up for GM'ing?

If you find a GM for that fantasy one, I'd be down. That three pokemon team idea is a great idea for pbp.

I've got a Pokémon game running right now, so I'm not ready to be the GM. But if someone does start a game, I would love to join in.

Cool that you're both interested as players.

Just out of curiosity, how would you rate your proficiency with PTU 1.05 rules?
And with the 1.05.5 errata rules?
