Stargate: SWSE (lvl 13+)
My brother and I are huge fans of Stargate: SG1 and Stargate: Atlantis (not so much with Stargate: Universe). We'd love to play a game based on the stargate concept whereby human's on earth discover a stargate and a military exploration unit is created to explore strange new worlds.
We'd like the rules system used to be star wars saga edition, where all the species within the rpg become possible races found at different stargate destinations.
We'd like a party of 5-6 13th level characters (13th level as a minimum, though if a prospective GM would entertain a higher level, we certainly wouldn't object). We would like the party to consist of at least 1 noble, 1 scoundrel, 1 scout, 1 soldier and 1 Technician (using the homebrewed class showing on the swse wiki page). NOTE: I intend to play the Technician, my brother intends to play the scoundrel.
We don't want the force being a part of this game at all (instead of force points: fate points - same function, different name), so no jedi, no force adepts, no use the force skill, no lightsabers, etc). We also don't want the 'star wars' universe/canon to exist either. Just using the races and planets thus giving the GM the creative license to do with them as desired (droids can exist but not as player's characters, perhaps one of the planets explored is a droid planet, and an army/armada of droids could be a major villain; and SW weapons are fine, assume Earth is slightly more technologically advanced than in the TV series).
This creates opportunity for multiple short campaigns (each being a trip to a specific stargate coordinate) with possibly/hopefully an over-arching storyline that would have our characters saving the earth.
Given that they are to be 'earth saving' characters, we'd like a stat array of 18,16,14,12,10,8 for all players to be assigned as the player sees fit based on whatever character they play.
