I am looking for something hard to find.
I know dnd 3.5, I love dnd 3.5. I want dnd 3.5.
A game where characters can die.
A game where a difference can be made.
A game where anything is possible, (all books are available) ...and nothing is easy.
A game with house rules based on logic and make sense. I could give examples of nonsense rules, but I won't. If a rule exists it needs to have thought put into it, and the reason needs to have an answer that tracks 100% back to something a character can actually investigate.
A game with an open world, this is not an exclusion of established worlds and thier history. But if the world is confirmed to what is written in a module or series of them, I don't want to find "nothing" if my character decided to look into why a thing is the way it is.
A game that does not die from being abandoned by players or GM's. Yes I realize that real life happens, but speaking as someone to whom real life has happened to (change in jobs, losing your house, cancer, moving across the country, military deployment to other countries, death of family and friends)...real life is a convenient scapegoat for things that are not the fault of real life.
A game without end... Amen.
