GURPS 4e

I don't suppose anyone would want to run a GURPS game for me, would they?

I've got... um... questionable experience with the game.  I actually bought some books back in 3e, read through them, made a character or two, thought about running, but never actually played.  When 4e came out, I ignored it for a while, since none of my friends were willing to give it a try, but over the years I've wound up buying a few books and reading through them a bit.

But I'd really like to be able to play it, even just once, to get a feel for how things work.  I don't much care what kind of setting - fantasy, modern, urban fantasy, sci fi, whatever.  I just want to make a character and roll some dice.

Just thought I'd see if there were any takers.

GURPS 4e

I'm hoping to run a GURPS 4e game set in WW2 France, if you're interested!

In reply to baxtheslayer (msg # 1):

If you're interested, here is the game I'm running:

I highly recommend you talk to the current players and get their opinions of the whole situation before making the decision to join...

I'm a highly inept, unorganized and I tend to leave the game for long periods of time... and not forewarn or explain my absences.

However, with the help of my players, we do have (in our opinion) an interesting game world and a lot going on in it. I hate to pigeonhole it into a specific genre... so I won't.

It is a Fantasy setting with some Sci-Fi and Steampunk tendencies. I whole-heartedly encourage players to invest in the world, and when I see one of their ideas fit, waste little time doing my best to incorporate it.

Feel free to check it out and be sure to talk to my players if you can. Not only are they great players, but they're much more experienced running GURPS games than I am and will give you an honest review of the game and its GM.
