I just finished watching Avatar (again) and I know it's coming out on Netflix.  One of the best, lasting parts of the series for me was the world-building that was done to put together the show.  I have always admired it and it's open nature has always allowed for imaginative story arcs.  I would love to explore the world through an RPG.

My ideal storyline would be similar to the plot of the show with a small group of freedom fighters working against the Fire Nation's invasions.  I am open to the time frame of the setting, whether its early invasions or after the fall of the Earth Kingdom, but I would prefer some time before Sozin's comet.  Whether or not the Avatar has been found can be discussed.

Anyone out there willing to run something like this?

I'd be up to play, if a GM could find a decent system to use.

Did you look at Legend of the Elements (PbtA) at all? I'm definitely open to other systems, but it looks fast paced which seems to be good for PbP
