Sci-fi, free-form, solo

I've been playing in a Sci-fi game for a few months, sadly the GM disappeared a while back. While I'm not trying to find someone to pick up that game (it would be weird and too constricting for a GM I think), I'd really like to put something similar up.

So what I'm looking for is a game:
- Solo, for a better guarantee of the game going somewhere;
- Taking place in the future. How far in the future doesn't matter that much, as long as the Sci-fi feel is there i. e. Shadowrun's 50 years would work just as well as W40k's 38 millenia);
- With "fantasy" elements. Could be magic (like in Hand of Mars by Glynn Stewart), psychic powers (Aeon 14 by M. D. Cooper or Star Force Universe by Aer-ki Jyr), or other stuff à la Star Wars, Dark Heresy and so on. Hell, stuff like Mass Effect could work too.

The universe can be a custom one, based on books you liked, or possibly some existing games (e. g. Star Wars but others could work too), I'm really open on that.

Game rating would be adult. I'm not (as in definitely not) here to write porn, it's just to be free to explore whatever theme we want to. I want the game to be serious. I'm not saying the tone has to be perpetually grim or depressing, just that actions have consequences and so on.

My character would be young, as one of the themes I like to explore are coming of age ones, discovery of the world around, the character's place in it, etc. How young depends on the universe, but I'm talking at least 16 in human equivalent (If we go for a militaristic thing inspired by stuff like Honor Harrington, it could be a cadet just fresh out of the academy so something like 22 for example, whereas 16 would work just right for a Padawan).
The character could also be interested in tinkering, crafting, building things, but that could depends a lot on the theme we go for. And I'm not necessarily thinking about material things, but possibly guilds, clans, military units or countries etc. Of course here again depending on the universe.
Finally, I cannot play a bad guy. I hate it. So to borrow it from D&D, my character would likely be something like Neutral or Chaotic but Good.

If you have an idea or want to talk about it, don't hesitate to rmail me, and if you've reached this point, thanks for reading in any case :)

Are you fine with a game system? I'd like to run a small focused game based on the Expanse RPG...
