A Song of Ice and Fire Roleplaying

I'm looking for a game run using A Song of Ice and Fire Roleplaying, with the following parameters:

  • Set long before the canon time period, so we're free from the events of the established narrative
  • Beginning with PC House Creation as per those rules
  • A game with a plot, as opposed to the free-formish social pairing games that people often run in this setting
  • An Adult rating, to better reflect the tone of the books
  • No more than seven players, myself included; I'd also be happy to carry it solo if that is the Narrator's preference

Respond here if interested, and we can chat about it in rMail!

I would also be interested, if someone's down for it. Ran and played only in games that were set around the first book, change might be interesting.

Let me read up on the rules set and I may be interested in running a campaign.

You are wanting everyone in the same house?  Are you wanting everyone in the same setting, or will you want to splinter off?

You should also look into Sword Chronicles too. It’s basic the same system, but with more magic, dwarves and elves and stuff.

Either way, it should be cool.

Definitely prefer everyone being in the same House or at least with allegiances to the House, like a highly placed retainer or loyal bannerman; thematically not interested in PvP type of thing.

As far as being together or splintering apart, I'm open. Splintering apart may be more true to form, but harder to run for the GM, so I understand staying together also.

Interested as a player and possibly a gm [though I've never run one on RPOL].

Preferred timeline/era?

I'm pretty open as long as it isn't in the show/book timeline.

I think the Dance of the Dragons or the First Blackfyre Rebellion would both be interesting timelines to play in - or even shortly thereafter, rebuilding in the aftermath of said conflicts.

In reply to Wymmerdann (msg # 7):

Maybe just before Robert's rebellion or in the age of Baelor the Blessed. Like these options as well.

There's a game currently going for just prior to Robert's Rebellion, and I'd rather avoid that era.

I've previously played a Blackfyre Rebellion and enjoyed it, but I think the intricacies of both a Blackfyre and Dance game are a little beyond what I'd hope to be able to GM.

I would be interested in playing or gming/co-gming either a Aegon III invasion of Dorne, or a Arrec Durrandon Riverlands game, but I don't want to commit until I've put some more thought into the format and timing.

Game Ad is up. I've settled on Arrec Durrandon's time, with a focus on House Bracken [who the players are vassals of].
