Not particular on the version, RMSS, Classic, or even MERP.  Setting - don't mind any homebrew or even the classic Shadow world, but, definitely enjoy intrigue, politics, and opportunities for the wide variety of actions, skills, and things one can do with the system over intense combat.  Spelunking fine, not murder-hobo.

Ah, not MERP, though. Not objection to that Setting, but I always felt MERP cut away too much of the RM System.
Even played some games here on RPoL but they dwindled and faded away.

I plan to GM a few games when the new system is... eventually released.

Until that time I wouldn't mind joining a game or two

It is/was one of my favourite systems but I'm not sure if the mechanics are too heavyweight for play-by-post

What kind of campaign would you folks be looking for?

I would love a city/intrigue-oriented as much as a dungeon-world exploration game. I had two character concepts in mind, one for either.

I've found for getting through the weight of the mechanics, it's often useful to have people express the totality of their intent (esp. In ckmbat) and let the GM resolve it as they see fit. This way, no one needs to wait for another's action to post. Roll initiative and post your relevant bits all at once...
(Grog will attack nearest target, using 50% activity to parry, where possible. If no one close enough to attack, advance half and raise shield.)
