Apparently, it's been only a decade since I last played around with Aberrant, as I found an old post of mine in the
Game Systems thread. I certainly don't have that level of familiarity with the mechanics of the system anymore...
I like the depth of the Aberrant setting, but I was never into the core storyline. So, I want to ignore that. It's just not interesting to me. I like the broad-strokes: Utopia vs Teragen, and the conflict of ideologies.
Drawing on my childhood, I really like the Black Air storylines of the old Excalibur comic books, and can see some possibilities for that dovetailing well with the Aberrant setting. So...

Let's go with an independent "black ops" group with a mandate to investigate some of the more egregious abuses of Nova Celebrity and Power. Note that "Black Ops" doesn't mean it has to be stealthy and subtle all the time. It's just that your involvement and who put you up to it isn't easily discernible...
