There is only a few Exalted games I've seen that work well. Most don't mesh up with Rpol and die within a month or two. I've been trying to do the same character for three games now and they barely get off the ground,

Cursed Pontius,  former helot of Lookshy who was forced to flee after exalting in a skirmish with proxy forces of the Dreadlord of Thorns. Dawn or Zenith Solar...

Sadly my ideas for Exalted (2e) characters do not lend themselves to a traditional Solar based game, maybe my wayward Lunar but she is only an idea, nothing more and not a full fledged character.

There is my Midnight Caste Abyssal, Twisted Basalt Shards of Joys' Despair, whom became a devoted warrior priestess. The idea which birthed this character was 'Standing by the side of her Mistress, the Abyssal graced with the title Twisted Basalt Shard of Joy’s Despair whispered her birth name to the horrors deep beneath the world whom consumed it utterly.'

There is Custodian of Unity, a Jade Caste Alchemical Exalt who believes in the might and rightness of Sova and The Old Ways.

My Lunar character, who would start the game as casteless, freshly Exalted and fleeing the Wyld Hunt. Someone who has no idea what being a Lunar really is and using her Gifts purely on instinct.

Azure Contemplation, a Twilight Caste who's Second Breath occured after a laboratory accident in the Heptagram. Raised as a member of one of the Great Dragon Blooded Houses, she must now contend with being an Anathema, her utter rejection by her own people. Made more complicated by her need for vengance and a thirst for power that was the gift of being born to a great House.

Sey-la, an Infernal character concept along the lines of Mr Mordin from Babylon 5 who simply asks 'what do you want' and makes it happen if its' within her power. Of course, there is always a price that will be paid.

I do have a Sidreal 1e character, Bao-Nu-Shi, that maybe I could rebuild into 2e, but he didn't really have a backstory, more an experimentation into what Sidreals could do. The concept was a vizier who tried to play the wise sage, the confidant and finally the sword when it was required.


Yeah, I noticed that the only true heroic amongst my character ideas is the Jade Caste. Everyone else has an agenda, even the Solar. If any of these ideas sound enticing to a prospective Exalted 2e GM, let me know.
