Cyber Generation Anyone?

With CP2077 and RED out my interest in all things CyberPunk is activated again.  Is anyone interested in Cyber Generation?  I would prefer to play myself, but first I want to gauge interest broadly.

That's...the one that came after CP2020 with kids with techno "powers"? It was...weird.

Cyber Generation Anyone?

Could be interesting. I think I actually own the physical books still after all these years.

In reply to mesneaky (msg # 4):

Interesting enough to GM it?

Nope. I don't have time to GM anything, especially this time of year.

Re: Cyber Generation Anyone?

Well, I'll see if there is sufficient interest in taking on another game myself.

Re: Cyber Generation Anyone?

Just a thought as I re-read the core book.  The carbon plague only changes 30% of kids, and they are very clear that it's "a plague.  It's not meant to be a good thing."  Players don't get to choose what sort of evolved type they get if they do change.

Considering that, what sort of interest is there in having a character not changed by the plague?

Colour me interested. I don't recall the book saying the player was unable to pick their own type of evolved.

p. 118 of the second edition book, top of the grey box on the right.  "Your players should NEVER be allowed to pick their powers.  Instead, you should decide, in your capacity as Referee, what powers (if any) they have."  Emphasis and parenthetical in the original.

Elsewhere (p.117) it says among adults over 20 about 90% are unaffected, the 10% die a horrible, gruesome way.  In adults under 20 about 70% are unaffected.  The rest undergo the change.  So what's an "adult under 20"?  Is that 18 and 19 year olds?  Probably.

Just wondering if there is any interest not only in playing (and there seems to be some) and if someone playing would mind not being evolved.  (I'm on the fence myself.)

Re: Cyber Generation Anyone?

Ah ok. I have the 1st edition which, as far as I recall, let the player choose what kind of evolved they were.
