Legend of the Five Rings, 4th edition
I'm looking for a L5R 4e game, possibly a West Marches style (ie; player driven) campaign set around the era of AEG's Clan War. Ideally there would be a mix of investigation and combat, potential for politics, plus possibly town-building.

I believe it would be easier to establish a ronin otokodate or new-founded minor clan, reducing the initial buy-in for clan politics and experience with winter court without removing their possibility, and keep things open for intrigue. If anyone is interested in utilising John Wick's Blood & Honor or World of Dew (though I'm only familiar with B&H) to establish a more characterful central hub and local daimyo together, I would be enthusiastic for that, too.

Not least, someone (elsewhere) recently described their game as 'not intended for slapstick characters' - something I agree with as part of respecting a more serious setting. I also like the opportunity to include some quirks and interesting, offbeat, or non-optimal choices. Not that these are exclusive, but talking is good.

Oh it's been awhile since I played L5R and would love to get back into it.  I can't run it now (even though I got a pretty good idea for how I'd run it).

But if there's enough interest, I'd definitely be in.

Lack of GM is the more certain death knell. I have yet to see an L5R game fail to get off the ground only due to lack of interest.
