Just a game idea, not sure if anyone would be interested or not.  After reading Aliens: Phalanx, it occurred to me it might be interesting to play a game where the players are children/young adults on a colony ship that has crash landed.  Having to flee the colony ship itself (radiation, biohazard, whatever up to you), these few dozen to few hundred children must forge ahead and form their own civilization on this new world, with no aide from adults or outside influences.  Feedback welcome?

I bet you could mine the television show, The 100, quite a bit for ideas.

Factions (and the inter-faction drama that would arise), problems that might happen at camp, threats that might exist outside of camp, etc.

I'd be interested in that game, depending on which system was used.

Another inspiration could be Hugh Howey's novella "Half Way Home", which features a very similar setup.

Ski, I'm betting in the novel, that's where the different strongholds came from.  Among the kids that survived the crash factions grew and seven major ones formed which went there separate ways.  Over time, each of the strongholds developed their own ways and beliefs and within twenty to thirty generations there was prejudice against other strongholds.  Only the 'demon' treat being a unifying feature of their culture. :P
