Good evening everybody,

The days are getting shorter, the darkness being more and more prevalent.
The perfect situation to raise the mood for some dark fantasy game.

As such I am asking if someone would be willing to run a game in the vein of The Witcher, Dragon Age, Symbaroum etc.

I am willing to learn systems, if the game is appealing (as long as it is not a "roll your goddamn character" system).

And for those concerned, I don´t want to play the special person in such a game (like the witcher in a Witcher game).

Anybody willing to run a game?

(and with how slow PbP is, not starting at zero would be awesome.
Oh, and I don´t do solo or duo games. I love playing with other people).

About me:
I play rolegames for around 20 years, doing play by post since 2015. So far I have only been active on another big PBP site, but thought I could step into this place too.

I’m new to the site too, but I was thinking of running a dark fantasy game in either Fantasy Age or Cortex Prime. Would either of those systems be interesting to you?

The game would ideally have some horror elements and be kind of gritty while still action packed. Tonally I guess I’d go for something like early Conan novels, Grimgar and Berserk as the major touchstones.

Is that interesting to you or anyone else?

If you use fantasy age count me in I've been looking for a game with those rules for ages :)

Fantasy Age sounds like fun! I'd be up for that.

I know those systems rudimentary, but am willing to learn them in depth.

And the short premise sounds really good.Actually what I hoped for.

Great! Yeah. Both systems are really straightforward but seeing the interest for it, I’ll focus on Fantasy AGE.

Other than Dark Fantasy in general, was there anything in particular you were thinking about or wanted out the setting or the game, Altherion?

Nothing to specific. It is mostly the tone. A bit dark and gritty. Seeing that AGE is also used for the Dragon Age pen&paper, that is also the tone I like. But the three you mentioned seem also about right (had to google berserk and Grimgar).

So as long as you go for something you enjoy GMing I will be fine.

A list of allowed AGE books would be good though.

So in the next few days, what I’ll do is create the ad/game with a more in depth idea for what I’m thinking and link to it. I’ll include the list of books too.
