PF1 or 3.PF Psychobilly Fantasy
Originally posted, inappropriately, in Game Proposals-- I'm reposting it here, with permission, and explicitly stating that I am looking for someone willing to run this game for me (and up to however many other players the GM is comfortable with) and explicitly waiving any "claim" I had to running it myself.

So, I had this idea for a PF game that explores more of the potential of the system:
  • Pathfinder Gestalt: Pathfinder 1e, ideally including 3.X sources; it's not anything goes, but Third Party material is allowed/encouraged/mandatory.
  • Classes Restricted: No CRB/PHB classes allowed, no full magic/psionics spellcasters, and one of your classes each level has to be (GM's approval) weird: something from Little Red Goblin's Gonzo series, unusual 3pp hybrid classes (like Purple Duck's Abomination or Drop Dead's Luchador) and similar. (Fixed progression works, too, with these limits.)
  • Low Level: Starting between 1st and 3rd.
  • High Ability Scores: 25-30 (PF) Point Buy, with two ASIs every fourth level.

I'm willing to spring for gift copies of the Gonzo books to an email address of the GM's choice, via DriveThruRPG. I'm also willing, upon request only, to help the GM with curating variant/house rules and allowed material/sources.

As an example of what I'm talking about... Gonzo 2 has the Multiman base class, like Jamie Madrox-- he creates disposable clones of himself-- and Gonzo has the Living Bomb Prestige Class which is... yeah, just like playing a bob-omb in D&D.

So you'd start off as a Magus|Multiman, maybe, or convert Magus/Living Bomb into a prestige archetype, and he'd be a melee evoker who could sometimes be in more than one place at once-- and as he leveled, he'd just accrue more and more tricks for being everywhere at once and violently exploding.

Or combine Purple Duck's Abomination class (Barbarian/Summoner hybrid) with Legendary Games' Protean Mutant Shifter archetype.

You know, weird.

I will add a "second" to this motion. Nowhere near organized enough to GM though.

What sort of setting were you thinking of?

Dealer's choice, I guess. Golarion works, any "standard" D&D type world would work, I'm a huge fan of Spelljammer. Any kind of fantasy world that's messy enough to sustain a game like this, which is... pretty much any D&D world that assumes all the first-party supplemental PC (sub)races and extended bestiaries are fair game.

edit: Or, hell, drop us in the middle of Middle Earth and let us chase hobbits.

edit: I don't want to contribute further to this game's already hefty overhead, but it would be hilarious if we started off on some weird homebrew world full of weird crap like the PCs, and a few levels later the Dragon Empire for FFG's classic Dragonstar campaign landed and realized we were Too Spicy for Yog-Sothoth.

edit: If anyone had good suggestions for third-party 3.5 or PF1 materials that fit the bill as well as LRG's Gonzo books, I'd love to hear them. I know Samurai Sheepdog published some amazing stuff.
