Prefer 2nd or 4th Edition but am willing to do 5th Edition. I prefer to start from scratch and develop my characters through level advancement and roleplay. Have preferences to the following modules but am willing to do any adventures whether premade or original as long as it starts from scratch at level 1.

-Keep on the Shadowfell series or the Slaying Stone from 4th edition
-Sword of the Dales trilogy or Doom of Daggerdale from 2nd edition
-Tyranny of Dragons series from 5th Edition

I do have a preference for the Forgotten Realms setting but again I am willing to be flexible.

So... not third or third-and-a-half edition?

I would be willing to do that too I guess.

Sorry both my games are old school 1st edition :)

Why are you shocked, he wants to start at 1st level, any games going for longer than 6-12 months would be beyond that starting point.  I have 1st level NPC's available for adoption in both my games but that probably won't work for someone who wants to start a new character.

Most of my DnD game is still composed of 1st level characters.  One or two just moved up to level 2.

I'd play 4e! I'm not a big brain on the system though. I've played it some, but mostly DMed.

Had I time and health, I'd GM. When at least one of those factors change, I'd consider a Shadowfell. I keep meaning to, but the timing is never right. That and bird droppings. lol.

While I have gotten my wish for a Keep on the Shadowfell game I would love to do the 4th edition dnd module The Slaying Stone as well if any other DM is willing.

1. Based on current inspiration, I'd like to give a home brew story a try. If you're up for a custom world map, with Forgotten Realms gods in it, I have an idea for a 1st level game that I can pitch if you're at all interested.

I am currently planning for a 5e conversion of the 2e Temple of Elemental Evil that will start at 1st level around the beginning of March... The players are currently discussing their character creations...

I really want to do the module Keep on the Shadowfell and it to be done in the Forgotten Realms setting. Any takers?

I have not started a game on here as of yet. Very new to this site. Been dming for 40+ years my own homebrew. My game has always adjusted to my players not the other way around. I do AD&D 1st ed i guess they call it now, with some 2e thrown in. My world has a main castle, 2 smaller castles, 1 is more of a starter and the other is meant for high lvl only. The main castle has a floor lvl, which you may encounter about any lvl monsters, but the 15 dungeon lvl under it are progressively harder as you go down. We always started our live sessions by asking where the players would like to go. They get to pick and then based on how many players and where they want to go I would tell them how many characters can go and max lvl. So if lets say 4 players want to go somewhere alittle hard I would tell them they can bring 6 chars. So this means 2 ppl could bring 2 characters instead of one. But the players have to figure who can do what. And they could go as long as they want adventuring and as long as they kept a good map, they could leave that night and next time we played they could do something else. Don’t know if theres an interest but id be willing to start something up.
