Psionic Focus Game (3.5, PF)

Hey there.  I'm looking for a game that really integrates and explores psionic aspects in both mechanics and narrative.  I think it is hands-down the coolest version of supernatural abilities, and it's a shame that in general it doesn't get much exposure.

A brief wishlist:
Aesthestic: The look and vibe of psionics is so cool.  It would be great to embrace that for allies, some enemies, and if not the game world, perhaps at least the community that the characters belong to.
Challenges: More mind-based challenges in the narrative would be great.  Different editions sometimes have formalized rules for this, but even without using those, there are plenty of ways to theme a challenge to the mind.
Balance: This is the tricky one.  Psionic characters in general are super cool, but broadly speaking struggle to function in parties the way traditional magic does, as many classes are limited in terms of their ability to affect allies.  In addition, in PF at least, their equivalent to cantrips is pretty poor.  Some classes were written out poorly - descriptions/abilities are flawed (Mostly in 3.5 core).  There are many ways to approach this - we might lean more on consumable items, or the GM might examine ways to allow us to affect one another.
Established Characters: This is more negotiable, but I've played enough level one characters for quite a while.  I'd much rather start off at least somewhat established - somewhere in the 3-5 range would be great.

If this is something you're interested in, either as a GM or player, please feel free to comment.

Psionic Focus Game (3.5, PF, PF2)

I am in.

Some tips:
Dark Sun: (www.athas.org) is a site recognized by WotC as the official source of all things Dark Sun, a setting a la madmax that relies heavily in psionics
Level: If not 3-5 as the OP wants, maybe gestalt level 1?
Balance: I am quite comfortable with the 3.5/pathfinder rules. The only change I would ask is the abolition of the Pseudo Errata of Complete Psionics. DR should apply to powers and spells alike or not at all.

Eberron is also a psionic friendly setting.

Eberron is probably my favorite setting.  I can see how it might dilute psionic focus, though, since magic is so integral.  I'd be up for just about any setting.

Gestalt is a lot of fun, so level 1 gestalt would also be acceptable.  That might alleviate some of the difficulties of psionics not playing nicely in the party if each party member has more accessible options for maintaining themselves.

Psionic Focus Game (3.5, PF, PF2)

I agree with the OP that psionics is awesome and many GMs tend to sideline or prohibit them.

I have plans for at least two (long)campaign arcs where psionics are at a slight to significant advantage to resolve the threat.

I forewarn that my games...
...like (durian fruit) (Norwegian fermented fish) or (pineapple on pizza)...
...my games are not always the (flavor) most people are looking for, but the invitation is open to all just the same.

All my games use the same character creation space called (the adventurers guild)

mature game.
