I'm itching to play a Companion! (But my Companion is not itchy...that would be gross!)

I know there’s a TTRPG book for it but haven’t found a game that actually takes place in the world of Firefly.

I would definitely be interested in a game that does that.

I both hate and love you right now. I don't have the time to GM but could squeeze in time to play. Would also be up for helping do set-up and handle more of the squishy story stuff if there is a potential GM that enjoys the crunchy rules part.

There is a Firefly TTRPG, I dabbled in it when it first came out. It was...rough. However I have heard MWP has improved the Cortex system significantly since then. They also did the Supernatural and Leverage TTRPG. I don't remember if they did Desden Files or not.

I have heard Powered by the Apocalypse (PbtA) Scum and Villainy does a good job with the crunch. Of course, one could also freeform (I tend to freeform most these days). It would need to be a Mature but more likely Adult rated game. My preference is for Adult, personally.

I could see a game set in the ‘Verse as either being a rag tag transport ship, a crew working with one of the various criminal organizations, a band of Browncoats who refuse to give in and surrender, life on a station, or any other number of scenarios.

There are actually 2 separate rpgs for the universe, one called Serenity and one called Firefly, just FYI.

I kinda like the Cortex version of the system. I feel like it could do well in a d6 system.

I can’t commit to DMing but I would be interested in playing.

I’d be interested in a game set in the Firefly universe, particularly if it was using the Serenity RPG system as that s the simpler of the two systems and I think the it would work better in a PBP situation.

Scum and Villainy is a FitD ("Forged in the Dark") game rather than a PtbA game, but it I think you could run a really solid game of Firefly using that system.

I played in a Cortex version of Firefly and it got pretty strange how it handled a bunch of stuff. I had a riot playing though and would love to play again.
