Welcome aboard, Forgeworth. I've long toyed with the idea of playing a chaplain. It'll be interesting to see how you approach it.

Re: OOC Thread 3

Ok, post is up. Its a little short, but I did advance things and you are all back together again. Sorry if it got a little boring, I wasn't trying to get you play out sitting around in a waiting room, but just wanted to give you an opportunity to explore or make more contact with the locals.

Its dawn, and you've got the opportunity to make some plans.

EDIT - Updated experience points.

Re: OOC Thread 3

What's our move guys? Follow up on the rumor of the POWs Lada dropped on us?

I also think we should get to the market area (we know of at least one) and trade. We should stock up on food.

Re: OOC Thread 3

I think resupply is #1 as the POWs can probably last another day... but I don't think that's a task for the whole squad.  Gathering intel on the POWs is another event for the day.

W00t.  Another split.  Whee!

I'm going to hold off a GM post as we're all still planning things out.

Are people indifferent to the proposals given? Or do you need answers on some things? Let me know I can help.

Re: OOC Thread 3

In my opinion, resupply and intel gathering are probably going to be our first priorities. We are carrying stuff we won't use that can go to food, fuel, parts, etc. If nothing else clearing it out so we can gather more is good. Before we jump into the POW thing I would definatly want more info on what is going on around here and how the POWs fit into it if at all. Grabbing them is a good thing but we need to know what to expect during and after.

Re: OOC Thread 3

We've still got more available cargo space than we can possibly use - what we've currently got doesn't even fill us up halfway.

Priority in my mind is to find out where the POWs are, and get them out. Meanwhile, any and all other available personnel should be trying to trade for food and fuel - we're going to need both once, if, we break out the prisoners.

The now mostly empty BTR will come in handy if and when we rescue the prisoners. I wasn't keen on taking it at first but it seems like it'll come in handy now.

Alright, I assume what's been posted is ok with everyone - JJM's goals with the team split up as Ben suggested. I'll get a GM post up tonight. If you want anything else from Schweppenburg now would be the time, as he and his men are leaving.

Re: OOC Thread 3

Hello,

Sorry for the delay. Today is officially the first day back to school. Its quite hectic with all the students back and getting everything sorted.

I'm ready to post for the guys waiting at the hotel. But I'd like to have another post by the PCs to give a little more insight into their activities.

Also, on the inventory thread. Its been mentioned that the info is all over the place and not lined up in the correct rows. Please tell me how it looks for you.

Varis Babicevs:
Varis was unaware that a deal had already been done. He felt a little disappointed that his "negotiating" skills would most likely not be required on this trip.

Your group also intends to hit the market street too I think.

Re: OOC Thread 3

As per Stone's post regarding a short patrol walkabout, here is an overview of the area. Keep in mind this area has been heavily damaged, so places where is says shops for example - don't expect any trade as its just for clarification.

Note - the "church" is not St.Marys.

It would have come up by now that Oskar can run and set up a still.  Obviously that's not a short-term thing, but I thought I'd make it explicit.

George Rawlinson:
Rawlinson asks in his good Polish (it would sound a little accented probably but very clear) "Do you know who is dealing?"

The two men Ben and Stone have been talking with are back at the hotel while Rawlinson is miles away at Lada's place.

Re: OOC Thread 3

Going to be out in sector for four days.  No posty posty until Monday-ish.

Sorry for my lack of posts.  I havn't had all that much to add.  Basically, Kurt is a sounding board and devils advocate.  Also, he has been pretty okay with how the Officers are doing so he has been quiet.  Plus none of the Enlisted guys are creating any issues so he hasn't had to ride anyone.

POW rescue is priority for Weiss (and if we survive a doublecross, Lada is going down).  Figuring out whether we are staying or going is number two.  Which faction we assist if we stay and which direction we are going if we leave is number three.  Otherwise, he is doing Sergeant Major things and he understands he is one of the most seasoned real combat guys we have.

Also, they keep threatening to move us to another FOB.  If that happens, the base we are going to is a bit more rustic and I will probably not be able to continue.  Not like I've been a major player lately, anyway, but even what little I have been doing will drop off.  I will keep you posted on that.

It may not even happen.  They have given us three different dates to move by and we have passed each one of them, so far. There is another they are looking at, however, so who knows.

George edited his post.

I'll try to place headers on the top to keep things straight whenever you split up.

Its ok. I think it completely understandable you are in and out. I think its great you are able to stick around as much as you are considering that you are in Iraq of all places.

I truly hope we don't lose you. Perhaps I should send a letter to your CO? In all seriousness though, you'd always be welcome to return in the future.

Stay safe.
