OOC Thread 3

Question for the Bradley crew.

Are you stopping after you get off the bridge? More importantly, which direction is the hull facing in your next turn?

Re: OOC Thread 3

without referencing the map.  Stone takes the bradley off the bridge and finds the first available place to do a 180 and park facing back onto the bridge (yeah, this is worrying me as i write this but its what i was thinking at the time).

So the bradley is off the bridge so other vehicles can exit the bridge.  The brad is facing back onto the bridge in order to drive back on next turn for any rescue thats required.  I'm not sure where the bradley actually would be, but i did post originally "off the bridge, first available place to turn and face the bridge while also being out of most of the LOS or fire" or words to that effect.

(waiting with bated breath).

Re: OOC Thread 3

In which case the M113 will drive past the M2 and effectively take over the frontal arc.
Might be a better idea to have dismounted infantry move back onto the bridge rather than risk our armour being hit by another RPG - infantry can take advantage of the guard rail, broken down vehicles, etc as cover and may not even be seen.

Re: OOC Thread 3

True.  I think there was a hint from JJ we may drive back on so bradley is facing that direction.

Bradley is currently stopped and waiting for the action to play out (other vehicles get off the bridge) before JJ would need to tell Stone to drive back (or order dismounts back onto the bridge).

Re: OOC Thread 3

That's the way I'd read it too, Stone. The Bradley will move to let the convoy through, the M113 taking the front arc, I didn't specify that in my post because I wanted to keep it brief and because I knew Ben would take the initiative and do the right thing.

I intend to keep the Brad off the bridge if the Hummer can get out without help. If they do need help we can send the Dismounts onto the bridge with the Bradley offering fire support.

Re: OOC Thread 3

I will be with my grandparents showing off my son for the entirety of the weekend and will not be returning until Tuesday.

GMs please push my characters along as the plot and circumstances dictate.

Re: OOC Thread 3

Note that only the M113 is carrying passengers besides Kaminski and arguably Boswell aboard the Humvee.

The M2 and BTR passenger compartments are empty of everything but stores.

However, there are a handful of Germans who might be willing to leave their bullet magnet of a UAZ and do some good...

Re: OOC Thread 3

Alrighty,

Back now.  Sorry about two days turning into four.  That was unexpected but is also an unfortunate indicator of future operations for a bit.  I should still be around, but it looks like my rotation reversed so I will be four days out and two days back until further notice.

We are hoping that this will only continue for three or four weeks, but we'll see.

Hope you all are well.
