Fuse - as the mines are being left in the Bradley please can you add the 6 claymores back to the unit stores list and I'll amend Rooke's equipment list accordingly.

Thanks.

Re: Do we REALLY need to arm them all?

This map is in the Intel thread. I didn't want to add too much info on it because it's getting cluttered, but feel free to ask anything related to it.

I'll also be using the Google Maps when showing troop/vehicle positions because it means I don't have to mess around with photoshop each turn.

Hopefully this isn't too confusing or a hassle for you guys. If you notice, I also added a grid, to help indicate specific locations.

OMFG!  And I'm in charge of a squad and missed that like four times this afternoon!  Maybe you should be running things Mitch...

This is with the maps too. If JJM doesn't want to change the teams, I'll just edit in Kurt wherever he wants him to go.

LOL - you did a great job on the boat and Mitch just wants to get his SAW set up for some covering fire! <G>

BTW, to get from the line of departure and heading towards your first objective, you can go around to the left or right of the big building to the north - but not through it. The doors facing the north side are barricaded from the inside.

HE or HEDP grenades?  Fuse has HE on my sheet.  I'm just trying to clarify before we start.

Re: Do we REALLY need to arm them all?

I'd say leave Weiss in Group 3. He may be a little busy today, but he will be back and sitting about with Fox isn't going to be much fun.
We also need as many PCs as possible in the groups to lead the locals. Weiss is also the only PC besides Mulcahy able to speak Polish, albeit badly. This skill may well be of critical importance.

Weiss, while the player is away, wouldn't be in actual command of the group - that job would fall to Varis who would be responsible for leading the group as Weiss (effectively NPCing him, or at least his decisions).
Robert Mitchell:
I think that the obvious solution is to do as you've said Fuse and move Kurt to join Fox.  As a replacement squad leader the obvious answer is Oskar (unless JJM has an issue IC with Oskar being a squad leader, which I don't believe is the case).

Oskar was recently, as in less than 24 hours ago, been demoted to Private. He was also to have been closely controlled (JJ's words) and used as scout and sniper. I rather doubt that given such a short time frame, JJ should be of a mind to alter his opinion. It is of course up to him as a player to decide...

Mike should absolutely give up the M203 to Frank. To do otherwise would border on criminal.

Andrew Rooke:
Fuse - as the mines are being left in the Bradley please can you add the 6 claymores back to the unit stores list and I'll amend Rooke's equipment list accordingly.

Incorrect! Only those items which would otherwise need to be carried in hand are to be left in the vehicle. There's no reason for the claymores to be left behind as they have carry bags which can be slung over the shoulder.
The Claymores should however be distributed throughout the group as 6 do add up in weight.

There should be at least 2 radios in each group. If not, then allocate a manpack to a local to carry. For that matter, allocate a manpack to both groups 1 and 3. The 3rd manpack is going with Fox (carried by #16). Young and the mortar group will make do with the Humvee's radio.

Nice map Fuse. I just noticed the photoshopped trenches and wall of shipping containers.

JJM, just a reminder we have a few smoke rounds with the 60mm too, in case the open ground we have to cover needs to be smoked off.

Re: Do we REALLY need to arm them all?

Thanks. Post is up. I'll get to work on updating the map asap.

All platoon casualties will be listed in the cast thread in the part with the PC's health status.

Also, I've been using modified weapon's damage for a while now. If your PC is put out of action, I hope that everyone will just game on with a new one or one of the NPCs.

Rooke, you're stealing your tactics from Oskar before I can post them.  :p

...meanwhile, Oskar will await the Map update before posting IC.  I mainly need to see if it's Oskar or Varis that has to shoot the stragglers.

Re: Do we REALLY need to arm them all?

I added the general locations of the squads - hopefully it isn't too small to make out.

Most of the squads followed the PC's actions and kept moving until they reached the drainage ditch (running along the north side of the gravel road). The depression is only a few inches, so even when prone you are might be visible - but relatively safe at this distance.

A few others are lying on the road (they hit the ground rather than move forward to the ditch).

Zajac is on the road too, after getting hit (yellow circle).

Frank's First squad is a little less than 100 meters from their pair of buildings. Directly north of them, at less than 50m is a partially destroyed concrete structure (no doors or windows visible - north side looks collapsed). Separating this concrete structure from their Alpha buildings is a fence.

Third Squad is over 100 meters to their Alpha buildings. The Bradley hit the larger of the two - and the MU militia at the market seem to think someone is in there to shoot too.

Because I don't want to contradict Oskar IC, I'm going to wait for him to post an action before I post as Varis. Hope this doesn't hold things up.

Re: Do we REALLY need to arm them all?

Marc St.Gil:
After unleashing the bursts of coaxial fire onto the left-most building, Marc watches as the militia scatter from the return fire. Cursing, he says "Idiots. Major, they're all over the place. We'll cut down our own men if we fire again. Suggest we move a-sap."

I would have thought that's not an issue. The infantry in front are all on the ground the the weapons are approximately 8-9 feet above the ground (overall vehicle height at commanders hatch, 9'9").
