Varis Babicevs:
I'm fucking hit! My hammer and sickles!?! Yes, they're still there.

Varis watched the American's mouth moving but he couldn't hear a damn word the man said. He was probably thanking Varis for kicking so much ass. This was no time for chitter-chatter, though. Black could kiss his ass him later.

LOL. Thanks for brightening my otherwise dreary early morning at work with your post. Hammer and sickles... great.

Fuse, can Varis look back into the room they just left without backtracking too much?

I think there's only one WP left at most - best to save it for now.

Is Andzej still carrying all those claymores? (as per Cast thread)

No. I put Varis in the hallway of the other townhouse to speed things up a little... ok?

Totally. The further the better.

As for the WP, I thought that setting fire to the building might buy us some time and protect our rear.

Mitch was also considering doing that, but I think in the end he decided against it.

The hallway is mostly concrete/brick and difficult to set alight, unlike the actual apartment units. This was demonstrated (sort of) when JJM torched the East wing. WP went through the windows of the apartment units and burned well. However the WP that ended going through the doors and into the hallways didn't do so well after the phosphorous burned itself out.

The doorway to the courtyard is via the hallway btw...

What I am trying to say is, torching the hallway or the apartment won't really help - at least in the short term which is when it matters. The hall won't burn and by the time the apartment spreads, you ought to be long gone.

...sorry, I'm tired and I know my explanation is pretty crappy.

Perfectly understandable description of the situation I think.

Good to know we have 6 heavy duty command detonated grenades there on Andrzej. :P
Can't think of anyone who can throw their 2kg weight more than the 30 metre length of the cable...

Meyer can't cover because he is already out the door and into the smoke.

Re: OOC Thread 6 (group 0)

Smoke takes time to take effect, and why would Meyer want to blind the group by dropping smoke on our own position? :S

I think its a fantastic plan. It could only get better with flamethrowers, but you have to work with what you have.

Re: OOC Thread 6 (group 0)

Probably a good idea to limit the use of smoke from here on too - it marks our location for all to see.
I agree flamethrowers would be nice, but that would mean we could go on the offensive. On the other hand, if we can find a way to quickly use the claymores and POMZ...

For those making their way outside, in the next turn, please indicate...

1) The order that your PC is exiting

2) If they are up against the townhouse, against the wall, or in the middle of the alley as they move.

And for the the guys at the Hummer and UAZ, in the next turn please indicate which vehicle you are boarding.

Helmut Meyer:
The creases in Meyer's weathered face become more pronounced as Rooke unloads the RPG to him. "Fantastisch... I will take it with this machinegun too." he says dryly. Meyer then wraps the sling over his shoulder and tries to seat the launcher over the back of his bulky webbing.

Jinny - just to double check - have you added the RPG-16 with 1 rocket loaded to Meyer's character sheet?  I still have it on Rooke's character sheet as I was away on holiday when you posted and I just want to double check before I delete it.

Thanks.

Re: OOC Thread 6 (group 0)

Before we all hop on the vehicles I think we need to consider Young's point.  We need to save the vehicles.  Maybe those who aren't wounded should try and push on on foot to the evac zone.  Otherwise have everyone escape via the vehicles.

Re: OOC Thread 6 (group 0)

I agree with the second part of Mike's statement. Once the vehicles are loaded teh best bet would be to drive straight for friendly lines and on to the hospital, dropping people off at the evac point is just asking for trouble. The evac point is an attempt to pick up those who can't make safety under their own steam in time.

Re: OOC Thread 6 (group 0)

The UAZ is already gone isn't it?
I agree that the battlefield is no place for softskins. Get them the hell out of it asap!
With the M2 down, and M113, BTR and BMP all toast, we can't afford to loose them (not to mention they're loaded with almost everything we own).
There was a LAV-25 being worked on by the motorpool somebody reported a while back. What ever happened to that? (I think it was before the motorpool got shelled).
