I have no preference where Ferro goes. I think we should maybe stick with our teams as much as possible though. Unless we are changing up again.

Ferro still has Mitch's set of NVGs. Is he going to want them back?

Happy to go in one of the munitions trucks in the rear. Billy also has a pair of NVG's.

Thanks for the update on the ordnance, no 40mmN shame.

Re: OOC Thread 9

Fuse:
I added in another segment which also includes a description of the cargo.

To summarize...

- Most of the supplies are NATO small arms ammo (5.56mm, 7.62mm, and .50cal - but very little 9mmP).

- The next most common items are mortar rounds (81mm and 120mm but including some Pact 82mm and 120mm too).

- Then the rest is made up of NATO artillery rounds, Pact weaponry and ammo, M72 rockets, and miscellaneous stuff such as gas mask filters, MOPP suits, parts, batteries, etc.

Nothing that could have been damaged by being immersed in seawater for a few weeks has been checked for damage though, as everything is still in their crates.

Fuse - just to be clear are we able to help ourselves to any of this?  Or will we be able to "request" some once we've delivered it all to the IB?

Thanks.

Entry level. He can driving a truck on a hard-top road, at normal speed, and under good weather conditions, but don't expect too much else.

Re: OOC Thread 9

Fox and Eikki are the same as Meyer. Unless you planning on doing some off road driving, any of the three are fine. Luis is actually the best driver, but probably not the best choice.

You aren't supposed to pick through the munitions. You can request later.

Re: OOC Thread 9

Ok, I'll be working on the turn later, but might not get it done until tomorrow. I know a few players haven't gotten in a turn yet, but would like to get things moving again.

Unless you want it changed, which is fine if you do, I was going with this order...

UAZ-469 > Tarpan Honker > Zil-131 > Capt. Beale's Humvee > Zil-130 > Flatbed > Tow Truck

...that's a lot of vehicles!

Oh, and the PoWs (10) are going in the back of the Zil-131.

Are the 6 Marines guarding them?

Also please note that the prisoners will be bound, gagged and hooded for the duration of the journey.

Lastly the intention for a prisoner swap will be explained to both the Marines and the prisoners to ensure that the prisoners understand that we want to trade them and to ensure that the Marines understand that we need to keep the prisoners alive if at all possible.

Re: OOC Thread 9

In reply to Luis Ortega (msg #15):

There are ten prisoners and only room in the truck for 10 (because of the cargo), but the Humvee is close behind with a clear view of the truck's interior.

I correctly assumed you'd have them restrained... so the PoWs should be the least of your problems :D

I figured the Marines would be in the tow truck with 2 more riding shotgun in one of the cargo vehicles.

Re: OOC Thread 9

In reply to Fusilier (msg #16):

Actually, I just realized there are 13 people assigned to the Tarpan Honker. That is too many, so you'll need to transfer some bodies over to another vehicle. Shifting over Ferro to the UAZ as a driver (as requested) and maybe putting two NPCs (Cooper/Janusz) as security on the other trucks would work.

Or you could also make the tow truck the HQ vehicle (room for 3 inside and 2 in the back).

Re: OOC Thread 9

Equipment question.

I have NVGs but no helmet. Can NVGs be worn around the head without a mount, like a head torch, or do you have to mount them to a helmet?

If the latter then me having them will be pointless until I find some new headgear.

Re: OOC Thread 9

In reply to Luis Ortega (msg #19):

Do you mean like dialogue? If its something like that then yes, but if it entails dismounting or doing some other action that takes time it might require some rolls. With the enemy outpost in visual range to the south, it best not to stick around. Especially if you've been given a free ticket to pass by without incident.

In reply to Caleb Mulcahy (msg #20):

Without a helmet, it requires a special head mount/harness... which you don't have. So, in Caleb's case, I'm rolling for observation checks as if he has active night vision, but once he needs to use both hands (like to shoot), he will be back to just the ole'eyeball.

One bit is a question so that sounds like it is ok but the other bit was to try to grab the weapons and ammo off the dead guys - I assume that's not possible, even for the first one we saw?
