Re: OOC Thread - 11

Awarded XP for the coup. See "The Cast" thread for details. Note, we're in combat so spending any XP will need to wait until it's over.

Planning on trying to get the next turn done up tomorrow night.

Re: OOC Thread - 11

Johnny Leota in Ch. 10:
Once the prisoner was on his way, and Hollister was on his horse, he looked back at Ferro. "Last one there buys the beer," he said with a grin, then turned towards the plane and headed off at a steady job.

Predictive text again?  Or is Johnny getting paid for walking?  *grin*

Fusilier:
He had 2x 40mm HE

Fuse/Cymon - though sharing out Mike's 40mmN HE rounds was discussed in character I don't believe that we've resolved exactly who took what.  I suggest that Billy and Ortega have taken 1x 40mmN HE each as this was done in the back to the truck and JJM is in the front.

Cymon - does that make sense to you?

Fuse - is this ok with you?  Or do you want to say that these 2 grenades are still with Mike's gear?

Ta,

Andy.

Hmmm... I think this time we'll say it was overlooked (until now).

You also posted Tosh as Ortega btw.

OK - thanks.

I just spotted that I'd posted as the wrong character and corrected it.  Sorry about that.

Fuse - I hope that I'm not too late with Ortega's IC post.  Hopefully it all makes sense and he's not trying to do too much in one turn! <G>

No it's okay. I just wanted to get at least the sniper team's post in while I was waiting. I'm going to take a break now but will work on getting the second half up later. Most of the rolls are already done.

Thanks - hopefully Ortega can get Morgan back into the action again as well and cause some mayhem with gas grenades! <G>

In reply to Fusilier (msg # 58):

Fair enough but if it's Ortega's pack it has a SPAS-12 strapped to the outside.  Essentially my real question is whether there is anything obvious to strip off the pack before it's ditched?

No, there's nothing like that strapped to the outside (as far as I can see).

Re: OOC Thread - 11

It does not sound as though it is either of Owen's packs.  They  both have rifle ammunition in them, and one has two frag grenades.  No flying bullets and no explosion, therefore not his.

Re: OOC Thread - 11

Normally, I'd have Owen let Per do the talking since A) he's the ranker here, and B) he was part of the original op, Owen wasn't even part of the back-up mission.  In Rae's absence, however, I'll step up and do it.

First, are those of us with radios able to hear JJM's transmission?

I believe so.  I asked Fuse if Ortega could hear Fox's transmission and received the following PM.

Fusilier:
Yes. You're all in range now.

Hope that helps.

We're missing two players (not including Rae) so I'll hold off until tomorrow. I believe Caleb is back then.

I'm back. Will try to post IC tonight if I can, if not tomorrow AM (about 10 hours from now). If you nee to move forward, Caleb will do as ordered and cut holes to shoot through. He will also swap mags and reload GL before firing.

Johnny will greet Varis and salvage gear from horses after getting Per onto the plane. He will then shoo off the horses once all gear taken.

Re: OOC Thread - 11

I'm confused, though.  Why are the guys in the truck preparing to fire out of the left side of the vehicle?  Or is JJM planning to have Marshall turn hard right, thus giving the cavalry more of a chance to catch up?

In reply to Owen Hollister (msg # 67):

We have to do something to engage the two vehicles that are trying to cut us off.  That means that the cavalry will catch up a bit but it seems like a calculated risk that's worth taking to me.

Re: OOC Thread - 11

Exactly, if we aren't in a relatively stable position to fire we aren't going to have a chance of scoring hits. It is as, has been said, a calculated risk.
