#3 works for me.

@Cork / Jinny, you OK with the OP placings or do you want to set up somewhere else?

Re: NEED MOAR HORSES

This shows a generalized idea of the LOS that's covered. Two points...

1) OP East is will need to decide what they want to focus on, the river or the road. Unless you are perched on the top of a roof you can't really see both due to the obstacles.

2) As it stands, I believe people are assigned to the vehicles in case of stand to, but not at any other time, so I left the LOS blank for the Humvee, Iltis, and Krok. Is that correct?

Re: NEED MOAR HORSES

Oh, and just to explain, I've left the bridge-layer option with a few choices. They all have their pros and cons...

Option 1)

A) service MT-55 so the engine works
B) tow MT-55 to river
C) use MT-55 engine power to deploy bridge over river

Option 2)

A) remove bridge unit from MT-55
B) tow bridge unit to river
C) lay bridge unit manually

Option 3)

A) Repair bridge using your own means

Option 4)

???

Re point 2, ideally I think it would be good if we could have the Krok and the Humvee's weapons manned but we're a bit short of bodies, so I think we probably need to ascertain how many people are needed on bridge work, which will then give an idea of how many people we have left.

Re: point 1, it may be connected to point 2 - if we do have someone who can man the Krok can that person cover the river and allow Frank and Ferro to concentrate on the road?

That's possible. I guess it needs to be clarified what exactly are the OP/Krok's roles. Is it to cover the approaches to the bridge with fire? Or as to see further out and act as early warning?

Re: NEED MOAR HORSES

In reply to Fusilier (msg # 974):

LOL...I am adapting my plan as I type given where I put Frank and Ferro isn't optimal...

What I'm thinking is put someone in the Krok's turret with orders to watch the river to the east - off the top of my head Aleksandar or Wilson, with the other manning the Humvee's HMG and covering the north (Fox's OP has west covered). That way the Humvee and the Krok then serve as lookouts however where they're positioned they can traverse to cover the bridge if required.

(I'm thinking we are unlikely to have a sneak attack on the bridge - anyone attacking it is going to have to come through our OP's first, so OP's should be the priority with covering the bridge a secondary task - does that make sense?)

Re: NEED MOAR HORSES

One place you do have "spare" men, may be with Ortega. His OP is 4 strong. Though his is also the most isolated... so it may be best to have the extra manpower there. Just a thought.

Another option is to utilize Anna in an OP position (not a vehicle of course). You don't necessarily need two people monitoring the wounded... though doing so leaves the vehicle harbor without an armed person.

Just some thoughts...

Yeah, cheers for that, I guess once we decide on what to do about the bridge we'll have a better idea. We've got Babicevs and Riedel as well.

If one of the vehicles can cover the river, that would be good so we can cover the road.

Re: NEED MOAR HORSES

What about taking Ortega from the OP and putting him in the Hum-vee and getting Wilson to man the BTR?

I'm worried about the massive blind spot to the rear if we don't have either the ILTIS or Hummer manned.

Have I used Wilson anywhere else?

Re: NEED MOAR HORSES

In reply to John Jameson McCarthy (msg # 981):

By my count current confirmed taskings are as follows

OP (across the river)
Kessler
Benucci
Ferro
Lines

OP (West Kepki)
Fox
Ortega
Morgan
Mulcahy

Medical
Cassidy

Bridge Work
O'Brien (across the river)
Little

Bridge Layer (?)
Fischer
Marshall

That leaves the following still unassigned
McCarthy
Babicevs
Riedel
Aleksandar
Wilson
Krupp
Tenza
Dave
Artur
Piotr
Anna

(not including Janku / Meyer)

(Sorry if I've missed anyone - I don't have a lot of time so did that in a hurry)

Excluding the civies that should still leave people to man the Hummer and BTR (they may not be the most skilled people - Riedel's autogun is crap)

Skill isn't that necessary in this case, people are effectively trip wires and the bridge crew should be close enough to the BTR to help out if things get rough.

Re: NEED MOAR HORSES

OK, as it's effectively sitting in a vehicle on your own why don't we use NPC's - Aleksandar and Wilson?

Anna stays with Cassidy.

McCarthy, Krupp, and the civilians do bridge work or help Fischer and Marshall.

Babicevs and Riedel continue their scavenging hunt unless Rae would prefer Babicevs to do something else? (@Fuse, did they find anything worthwhile in the wrecked T62?)

How does that sound?
