The balloonist replies adroitly, first to Tracy.
"Oui, c'est vrai, Monsieur Windham. In mere minutes, I shall make everything clear."
Facing the professor, Poirier offers reassurance in his answer.
"Professor, please accept my apologies. I was not certain you would join me here. You had your tasks to complete. Maintenant, I will guarantee the safety of your belongings, ici ... em, here at this camp. Take only what you need for this journey. I can arrange delivery by land, but there is no guarantee it will arrive -- at least in time for, em, anything."
Poirier turns away, barking out orders in French, German and English. Ringgenberg understands all of the commands -- which are clearly in line with everything the balloonist has told the four new pards preparing to embark on his airship.

The frenchman's crew readies the balloon, including the loading of their belongings. Poirier himself climbs into the basket, staked some thirty yards from the edge of the summit -- which overlooks a steep drop towards an expansive lakebed. As they prepare to pull up the stakes, while holding onto the ropes, Poirier calls out to the heroes.
"My men will hand each of you a rope. We will all run towards the edge and then take flight. Each of you must pull yourselves up into the basket in succession, three paces separating each boarding. Count your paces out loud ... un, deux, trois ... and then lend a hand to the next man."
The camp crew pull up the stakes. handing one each to the four adventurers.
"Bon voyage," calls out the silk merchant.
"Allons y!"

OOC: The Judge doesn't intend to cut off conversation, but appeals to Poirier at this time are pointless. Feel free to post conversation amongst the PCs in the short time available. Otherwise, we continue.
It doesn't matter what order in which you make your rolls; the Judge will manage things based on the results. The Judge STRONGLY encourages the use of bennies to avoid any potential failures. The Judge will be applying modifiers to the rolls.
Each of you need to make two rolls, except for Jacob, who makes only the first roll.
- Running and jumping into the gondola. Agility test.
- Support test to offer a hand up to the next man, Agility test (all but Jacob, meanwhile Poirier offers the hand-up to Windham, the result being +2 to Tracy's FIRST roll. A success on the "hand-up" roll means +1 to the next man, a raise is +2.)
20:13, Today: Judge Messalen rolled 1,3 using d6,d6, rerolling max with rolls of 1,3. Poirier support Windham.
