Concerning the Gods

In addition to the mortal species, the world has beings of great power.  Some say these beings rose from the mortal species themselves, representing the best or at least the strongest of each.  Others say that these beings came from other planes or at least other worlds to champion one species or another.  Regardless, each species has a name for these beings.  That name translates roughly to “gods”.
The first of these gods to rise was Niaaca, goddess of the wild.  She appeared most often as an Invar of great beauty and some thought this to be her ‘true’ form.  Some say she also chooses to appear as a young teenage Invar named Ere` or that Ere` is her younger sister, or daughter.  None know for sure.  Ere’ is kind hearted and gentle though unable to speak and apparently dimwitted. Niaaca is fond of growing things and animals of all kinds.  She uses her power to bless farmers and friends of the forests and jungles of the world, though the latter is more Addiyr's province.  Niaaca's domain also includes magic, art, and freedom.  Niaaca also enjoys the pure chaos that the more vicious side of nature can bring, the passion of contest and the hunt.  The Invar, Anthros, and some humans eventually came to be her primary followers.  Typically her, followers are clerics of nature, shamans, druids, rangers, and wizards, but there is a sect of barbaric warriors that worship the more vicious side of her.  Being the first of the "gods" she has the largest portfolio of any deity.
Next to rise was Taphal, a god who cares little for any who might follow him except those interested in his inventions.  Taphal was the god of inventions, engineering, and later technology.  Having the most affinity for the Kradok, it is uncertain of Taphal began as one of these artificers or simply chose that form out of practicality.  His followers are typically clerics of battle, fighters, rogues, and of course, artificers.  A few humans and quite a few Unbular follow him.
Addiyr was the third of the first deities to rise.  He was fun loving and kind, great friends with Halai and Taphal both.  Qin’ah he treated like any younger sister prone to fits of temper.  Niaaca he loves and many speculate that they are married and that the girl, Ere', is their child.  His domain includes wild beasts, the jungles, and wisdom.  Addiyr is the god of druids, shaman, rangers, and some barbarians.  His followers are mainly Anthros, but he does have a smattering of the other species as well.
Fourth to rise was Qin’ah, goddess of the Unbular.  She began her stint as a goddess of the world by picking a fight with Taphal who refused to pay attention to her romantic advances.  She has hated him since.  As newer deities arrived, Qin’ah tried to seduce each successively and was denied by all.  Prone to unreasoning tantrums or gleeful mayhem, Qin’ah is the embodiment of chaos and selfishness though one might not categorize her as actually evil.  Her followers include clerics, fighters, and barbarians.
Only adding fuel to the fire that was Qin’ah was the simultaneous rise of  the last god, Halai, the “boasting fool”.  God of rogues, pranks, and general good natured mischief, Halai continually leads Qin’ah on, always slipping from her embrace usually helping her stumble into Addiyr.  Halai took the form of a human which did little to help their image in the eyes of the other species.  His followers are almost all humans, though he does have a few of the other species to claim him.  Rogues and bards especially follow him, but clerics with good humor and a sense of adventure sometimes follow him as well.
The Echtinik have no god and most see no call to serve any of them, though they acknowledge their existence.  A few have chosen one or another to follow, but it is rare.
