OOC Comments

I am opening this new thread as a communication between players and me.

PLEASE RESPOND USING PRIVATE MESSAGES TO ME ONLY.

Include for my benefit your thoughts on:

(1)  Opinions on how you would like to see certain aspects of your character worked into the story (goals, backstory, etc.)

(2)  Any opinions about the game thus far (how to make it better, if it's working well or starting to drag, any inconsistencies that you have questions about, etc.)  Don't worry about offending me; just let me know what you think.  I also like to know what's working so I can continue to do what works in the future.

(3)  Any other thoughts you might want to give me (such as if you're going on vacation or would like to do something drastic like switch to a new character or anything else you'd like me to know).

Re: OOC Comments

One thing I will use this thread for is taking polls.  To date, I have had it entirely secret who is a PC or NPC for various reasons:  mystery, suspense, betrayal and keeping you on your toes, among others.  This has seemed to work well and has created real suspense and mystery.

Yet I am aware that some people prefer to know who the players are in a more social manner than simply through their characters and thus would like to communicate with them OOC.  There are three options for you to think about:

(1) keep it as is (secret, with all OOC through private messages to the DM)
(2) open identities (but then it would lack the mystery and pure roleplaying that it has been to date) OR
(3) have players join the game as an OOC personality to socialize but keep restrictions from revealing which character they play.

I actually do not remember anyone ever complaining about the method as it is, but I have never had any feedback about it either.  Please let me know what you think on this issue.  POST AS A PRIVATE MESSAGE TO ME ONLY PLEASE.

Re: OOC Comments

If anyone is still around, I am thinking about starting a new 1st level campaign. Let me know if you are interested.
