Test run for hypothetical public superhero game.

Joe's vague and poorly defined psychokinetic powers didn't come with mind control.  But being able to punch ghosts certainly had it's benefits yesterday.

Costume really needs work though, just a barely copyright sake mask of a certain slightly over one hundred members organization.  But then, that's probably not as bad as just shrugging whenever anyone asks what his name is.

"Here's your icecream." not quite rescuing kittens out of trees, we'll just have to hope getting catgirls icecream is close enough.

"Woohoo!"

Mittens flips out - right out of reality and back - over being offered ice cream!

"Thans a brazillian, Joe!"

Nom!  She takes notice of the Jedi Ewok and gasps!

"So cute!  But Mittens isn't sure if the teddybear would take offense to random stranger admiring her adorableness, so she instead sticks to a more playful intro."

Mits activates her own BrandMart lightsaber!

"Hello there!"

Nom!  Mittens must truely be one with the force if she can wield a lightsaber and eat ice cream simultaneously without lopping a limb off.

Shayock "salutes" with her saber. "Hail!" she says. Her voice is cute to match her appearance, having a softness to it while also having a minor scratchiness that is inherent in most ewoks. "I am Shayock. Who are you?"

"Hello Shayock, it's nice to meet you.  This is Mittens, and I'm..."  He turns to Mittens and comments "Has anyone ever called me anything more specific than 'that guy'?"  Joe, you already barely work at the whole secret identity thing as it is.  But it would help matters if you came up with anything at all.

Mittens salutes back with a big smile.

"Hihi!  Love the lightsaber!  Like mine?  We should duel!"

She readies her lightsaber in a duel-ish stance.  Nom!

"'That awesome guy who got me ice cream' is good enough for me!  But if you'd like a nickname, I could start calling you 'Lone Ranger' over your enemy's frequent 'Who was that masked man?!' comments."

Shayock says, "I...." she looks a little confused. Then shrugs and takes a defensive pose. "You have until I am done this combat to name yourself. Else, I will name you."

"I think captain creamsicle is taken, anyways."

He nods to Shayock, "Yeah, that's fair.  Though if I think of something, tell me anyways in case your idea is better."

"Mits is sooo enjoying herself.  Ice cream and lightsaber duel with an adorable teddybear!  Doesn't get much better than this!"

She playfully "duels" Shayock, clearly having a ball.

Shayock seems... underwealming at lightsaber combat. Mittens could duel circles around Shayock. But she seems playful and when Mitts hits Shayock's arm, Shayock hides that arm behind her back. The combat is quickly over unless Mittens tones it down to be at the ewok's level. Between size and skill, Shayock is woefully outmatched.

Hmm, Psycho Mask probably would make more sense if he was wearing a spooky skull mask or something.  Wonder Mask might make the lawyers finally notice, but this is also a oneshot and he's feeling not spectacularly creative right now.

"Hey Mittens, is Wonder Mask too generic?  Also Shayock, have you considered stealing her icecream." Clearly that's too evil a tactic for the short fuzzy girl to use on the tall hairy girl, Joe.

Mits was trying to nom the ice cream during the duel, but that can be extremely challenging.  Fortunately, her opponent kindly makes it possible for her.

"Hey now!  No ice cream stealing!  Wonder Mask makes me think of Willy Wonka for some reason.  I like it!"

Shayock has seen some Wanka candy around in stores. "Candyman?" Once defeated, Shayock looks towards Joe and says, "Wonder Mask is... I don't believe I have heard anyone named that? So why not?"

Shayock's player is SO happy Shayock is one of the many avatars he managed to get the RPOL staff to upload.

It's admittedly a reference Mittens and Shayock's players won't get, but we're fine with that.

"Well, let's go with that then."  Somehow, he expected Shayock to be at least somewhat more swordy than displayed.  But then Mittens really loves swords so Shayock could still be really good outside the comparison.

Mits gives a proper salute to the noble opponent and deactivates her lightsaber before making it disappear into hammerspace.

"Hurray Wonder Mask!  'That awesome guy who got me ice cream,' was a tad cumbersome, admittedly."

Shayock is simply not a sword person. She is a magic, deception, and smarts kind of person who happened to learn some hand-to-hand combat along the way.

Either way, she gives a bow and saber-salute to Mittens with an "oh oops!" expression as if she feels she forgot some manners or something. Then looks up at Joe. "I have wondered ever since I arrived here; if I had a superhero name, what would it be?"

"But clearly worth it for the results, I'd expect."  If you had to resort to a complete sentence rather than two words for icecream, it's a safe bet one would use the full sentence.

He considers Shayock's question, "Well, honestly some people really do just use their names, or just throw adjectives on.  Like for example, the Sensational Shayock.'

The Violent Violent Violent strolls by somewhere in the background.

Shayock giggles from the Fwuffy Umpkins comment. "I... guess super powers include things I can do that others of my kind normally can not? Or would I include things my people can do that yours normally can not? It is hard to say what counts as super for the people of this world.... I guess I will start with what my people can not normally do since I have no idea what differences my people have from yours outside size and appearance. I have control over magic. I also have the ability to use herbs in many different ways that simulate magic."

Well, that's still more specific than the nature of his own powers.  "Honestly it's a very hazy terminology."  Somewhere, a knife fight ensuse over whether or not Cybertonians qualify as 'Tech' or 'Natural' Origin*

"For some reason, the herbs experience stands out more.  Any particular favorites on that front?"

*Soon abandoned in favor of teaming up to punch 'I'm a magical ancient demon who is the one true biblical satan!' Claiming a tech origin'

"'Flower Power' comes to mind, but that has lots of baggage and doesn't sound very superhero name-ish.  And what counts for 'what normal people can do' can vary wildly.  But figure... If you see a lady's purse being snatched and she's helpless to stop it from happening, that's generally considered, 'normal.'  So use that as your gauge."

Then looks at Joe. "Favorites? I like causing illusions and controlling emotions. Two things my actual magic can not do."

Obviously not having a purse to steal makes you immune to purse snatching, duh.

"That second one's fairly popular in plant antics from what I've seen, but using them for illusions isn't all that common."  Well, unless you count making you seeing hearts?

Shayock sifts through her herbs. "OK! I would love to. Here; catch this." She tosses a beanbag at Mittens. Should Mittens catch it, it would poof a nice big cloud into her face as if someone coated the thing in pool stick chalk. Mittens then experiences this as if in the situation of the blond-haired guy:
