Well I'm pretty sure they're going to pursue your ass, but whether they will "run down" "walk after" "shamble towards" or "crawl slowly toward" said ass is the real question.....

Re: OOC Thread

Yay! First session over!

Now, what's gonna happen next.

- Ammo. The girls are going to want their magazines at full load for the next round of entertainment.

- Nephi's fencing gear: little protection is better than no protection at all.

- Any off-screen interaction that you think may be necessary: you have about ten to fifteen minutes of off-screen time, so let's make a short list of one or two things your characters would do during this time. Five minutes or so will be spent in a parking lot somewhere redistributing the ammo and such.

- XP and improvements...

Please see the related notice :)

Incidentally... Nephi, you have been asked by Hector to try and repeat your miracolous performance (literally) with Geoff, in the hope of getting rid of the zmobie infection.

Wanna do it on screen or off screen?

Monica has already given you the address and a quick recap of the situation. You can be assumed to know, IC, the content of the introductive post of the new thread.

Re: OOC Thread

Didn't expect  you to start this chapter so soon :). Just so I've got the "who's riding with who" thing straight: I'm driving the police cruiser, with Monica riding shotgun and Karen and Nephi in the back, and Jane's driving Nephi's car, with just Geoff in front, right?

Re: OOC Thread

Well, I think Nephi and Karen will stay i Nephi's car... And either one of them can drive, which would leave both Jane and Geoff free to shoot.

Speaking of you and Geoff, either one of you can use the shotgun, but there is only one in the car... You also have a standard bullet-proof vest, although I'm not sure how useful that will be in protecting your libs and face against zombie bites.

Jane and Monica will take advantage of Nephi's offer, and wear a fencing uniform. You big guys will have to luck out if you want to wear one, though: you are just oversize for Nephi's target of students.

If you roll 7 or better on a D10 Nephi will have a uniform of your size.

Which reminds me: Nephi, please, will you mention those uniforms again IC?

BTW, barring extreme circumstances I'll be spending New Year's in Brasil. That means I'll most likely be unavailable for about a couple of weeks (starting around Xmas or so).

Ah, that is because we are not IN the vehicles, we are out... See above:

"Five minutes or so will be spent in a parking lot somewhere redistributing the ammo and such."

I probably should've be clearer on that...

Sorry, missed a few days.  Kinda thinking Hector's request would be better done off screen.  And Nephi will be reminding everyone about the fencing uniforms before we go.

Re: OOC Thread

You may want to write the number of this post somewhere :P

The protection of the armor on your limbs is D4(2), *and* it will protect you for another 4 points from the slashing effect of the bite, meaning that if you get bitten for 5 points and roll a 1 you will lose 4 LP, not 8. If you get bitten for 6 points and roll a 1, however, you will take 4 points of baching damage and 1 point of slashing damage.

This is important because there will be no bleeding if you only take bashing damage.

The GM and I had a whole argument over that Desert Eagle, that I'd rather we didn't get back into. Suffice it to say Hector never picked up the big gun, and Mon still has it.

Re: OOC Thread

Sorry, the trip back to Italy left me way more exhausted than I thought, and I lost two days.

To clear the apparent confusion that's been generated: the house *Eddie is in* is five minutes from the place you stopped. He's not 'here' by any definition of'here'.

Since Monica was the only one to know where the place was and she didn't tell anyone, when she stopped you might have assumed that Eddie was there, and apparently Monica's words didn't quite clear that misunderstanding, but still, there are no zombies in sight, and that should register.

Re: OOC Thread

She was supposed to have already done it... But obviously the "scene cut" between the zombies beating on Eddie's window and the tranquility of the parking lot wasn't so clear.

Of course, in hindsight (20/20 of that, I got) I should have probably said "Meanwhile, in a parking lot a few miles away..."

Re: OOC Thread

Wait a minute, I think we have a continuity error. You see it was Eddy who radioed Hector and Geoff to "handle another Monica situation". To radio our cruiser wouldn't he have to be in our precincts HQ?  And it was only like 15 minutes after he radioed us when he called the diner to warn us of the zombies. I just don't think he had enough time to make it all the way from downtown Pittsburgh to the suburbs, especially with the army of darkness in the way....

Re: OOC Thread

Actually, I'd left that deliberately vague: Eddie was called on his cell phone - he wasn't at the precinct at the time.

In fact, he was taking care of an unexpected situation: it was not an assault of the living dead when he left, but became one by the time he got there.

But do please keep your eyes open, some errors will surely pop up...

Re: OOC Thread

Ho Ho Ho! Merry Christmas everyone!

As you unwrap your presents, you receive:
    3 XP
    2 Skill Points
    5 Drama Points

For those unfamiliar with Unisystem Lite (aka Cinematic Unisystem, the Army of Darkness version of AFMBE) Drama Points are 'chips' to be spent to obtain some nice result.

They do not regenerate, so use them wisely.

Here is a list of what you can accomplish with a Drama Point:

- Heroic Feat: By spending a Drama Point, the character gets a +10 bonus on any die roll. Any one die roll, whatever its purpose. Only one Heroic Feat may be performed in a Turn.

I Think I’m OK: For a mere Drama Point, half the Life Point damage (round down) the character has taken up to that point is healed up. I Think I’m Okay can be used only once per Turn, but it can be used several Turns in a row, each use halving whatever damage remains. If the character had suffered enough damage to be incapacitated or unconscious, however, healing does not necessarily awaken them.

- Plot Twist: Once per game session, each character can spend a Drama Point and get a "break." This is not a Get Out of Jail Free Card. If our heroes stupidly walked straight into a zombie group in plain sight and are surrounded by a horde of hungry undead, a Plot Twist won’t allow them to escape unscathed. It does, however, allow for "I have this item I forgot about", as long as the item is reasonable (as a rule of thumb, a flashlight is reasonable, an AK47 is not).

- Righteous Fury: By spending two Drama Points, the character gets a +5 bonus to all attack actions for the duration of the fight. These benefits are cumulative with Heroic Feats, above. Problem is, an appropriate provocation is necessary to invoke the Righteous Fury rule. A player can’t decide her character is pissed about the existence of zombies, or global warming, or even the mystery meatloaf they served at school that morning. They need to be truly provoked.

I have not updated your character sheets yet, but will do so sometime soon :)

Actually, I'm leaving for Lisbon, the flight to Rio is tomorrow, but that is immaterial: the point is, I will probably be out of touch for a couple of weeks.

A happy new year to you all.
