Re: OOC Thread
Ho Ho Ho! Merry Christmas everyone!
As you unwrap your presents, you receive:
3 XP
2 Skill Points
5 Drama Points
For those unfamiliar with Unisystem Lite (aka Cinematic Unisystem, the Army of Darkness version of AFMBE) Drama Points are 'chips' to be spent to obtain some nice result.
They do not regenerate, so use them wisely.
Here is a list of what you can accomplish with a Drama Point:
- Heroic Feat: By spending a Drama Point, the character gets a +10 bonus on any die roll. Any one die roll, whatever its purpose. Only one Heroic Feat may be performed in a Turn.
I Think I’m OK: For a mere Drama Point, half the Life Point damage (round down) the character has taken up to that point is healed up. I Think I’m Okay can be used only once per Turn, but it can be used several Turns in a row, each use halving whatever damage remains. If the character had suffered enough damage to be incapacitated or unconscious, however, healing does not necessarily awaken them.
- Plot Twist: Once per game session, each character can spend a Drama Point and get a "break." This is not a Get Out of Jail Free Card. If our heroes stupidly walked straight into a zombie group in plain sight and are surrounded by a horde of hungry undead, a Plot Twist won’t allow them to escape unscathed. It does, however, allow for "I have this item I forgot about", as long as the item is reasonable (as a rule of thumb, a flashlight is reasonable, an AK47 is not).
- Righteous Fury: By spending two Drama Points, the character gets a +5 bonus to all attack actions for the duration of the fight. These benefits are cumulative with Heroic Feats, above. Problem is, an appropriate provocation is necessary to invoke the Righteous Fury rule. A player can’t decide her character is pissed about the existence of zombies, or global warming, or even the mystery meatloaf they served at school that morning. They need to be truly provoked.
I have not updated your character sheets yet, but will do so sometime soon :)
