Re: OOC Thread

Bonus!

The main worry I have about being bitten by a zombie isn't the long healing. It's the shambling and peckishness for brains I'm worried about! Still, poor Geoff doesn't know he's in the middle of a zombie apocalypse, he's worried about STDs and Hepatitis. Somehow, I think these will be the least of his wories...

First your standing out in the zombifyin' rain, now you've been bitten! Jeez man, you didn't take that "Doomed" disadvantage, did you?

Re: OOC Thread

Don't underestimate the evilness of your GM... You never know what's gonna happen to you character next!

Incidentally, Geoff took neither Doomed nor Bad Luck, yet it seems he has them anyway :P

And we say goodbye...

To Eliza Shaw, whose player unfortunately got caught up in, well, life.

Good luck, see you in another life.

That leaves Nephi alone and lost. So, any ideas what we should do with our one and only healer? The guy who could possibly save Geoff from his future of manburger meals?

Re: OOC Thread

Ah just bring him into our thread. It is still somewhat early in the morning, and he is a practicing Mormon, so perhaps he comes along on his bicycle to do a bit o' proselytizin'! As I have found in my experience with the Church of Latter Day Saints their motto does appear to be, "Nothing will bring people over to Jesus like annoying them while they're getting ready for work!"

Re: OOC Thread

Should I post my original intro idea then?  And Nephi's already done his full-time proselyting, now he'll usually only bring up his faith in normal conversation when asked a question, or if it makes sense to the situation.

Honestly, I still don't love the idea of putting all our eggs in one basket, but I think that's the most productive solution at the moment.

Re: OOC Thread

I think right after Jane's stream of profanities is a good time as any to introduce Nephi :P

There is still room for a post from Hector and Geoff, anyway, if one of you guys gets there first: if that's the case, Nephi should probably cough politely to make it known that he was there ;)

Incidentally, does Nephi have a specific title by which he is addressed? That is, does the fact of being an Elder imply a "Rev." or something?

Re: OOC Thread

Now that I think of it my character's response to Nephi just walking in to our little crime scene, without a good reason, would likely be to tell him the place is closed for now and to come back in a couple hours, and possibly forcing him out if he doesn't get the hint. As such we should probably give him sufficient cause for the barging before hand, if one hasn't already been thought of.

Well, Monica hasn't seen him in... Years, I think? She'll want to at least talk to him.

BTW, Hector, the radio is on the fritz. That includes the radio on your car and... Guys, shouldn't you both have walkie-talkies or something?

In reply to Chronicler (msg #52):

Yes, yes we should. What you want our personal radios to suddenly make a high-pitched squeal then go dead or something?

Re: OOC Thread

No particular title, usually either Nephi or Brother Swanson, as all male members age of 18+ are ordained Elders (assuming they are in good standing with the church).  If he was still on his proselyting mission, then it would be Elder Swanson, and he'd be wearing a suit with a black nametag.

Oh yeah, references to the dark stinking rain will be because of the first post, if it's not supposed to be dark and stinking yet.

Re: OOC Thread

I confirm both the neither-dark-nor-stinking and the "yet" part, so that may need a wee bit of editing.

Hector, only getting statics sounds perfectly good, so that's what you are going to get on your personal radios as well.

Re: OOC Thread

It may be a little confusing seeing Nephi's speech done in the slightly lighter green then the "Dark Green" I've been doing Hector in. As such you may want to switch to a different color entirely, Nephi.

On a somewhat off topic note: I've been thinking of getting AFMBE's "Worlds of The Dead" for the longest time now, as I just love reading Eden's published scenarios for the game, but I've heard the twenty-two new scenarios contained in said book are a bit of a "hit and miss" situation. As such I was wondering if any of you have perused it and could tell me if it's worth the bucks.

Well, looks like I'm changing to Orange then.

And the only AFMBE book I've seen is the main one, so can't help there.

Took a little while to figure out how to not use Unisystem for the dice rolling.

21:54, Today: Nephi Swanson rolled 3 using 1d4.

Hope that's good.

Re: OOC Thread

Well, I guess a case could be made that, this being a zombie game, having more zombies is good...

But first, Hector won't be able to contact the precinct, and then (as soon as he hangs up) Monica will receive a phone call.

Good thing he was busy keeping down the undead perp then... You can react to Monica's actions in as random an order as you deem appropriate.
