Important:
Exposure to the Zombie Rain has changed you. This has advantages and disadvantages, as we are going to see soon.
First, roll a D6 according to the following table:
1 STR 4 INT
2 DEX 5 PER
3 CON 6 WIL
The attribute you end up rolling will get one free level. This does not count as an Attribute increase, so you can still raise that Attribute once with XP.
Second, you are now somewhat more affected by the presence of the zombies. Every time you *meet* a zombie you will need to pass a Difficult Willpower Test or lose action for the entire round. This applies *every time* a *new* zombie enters the combat, so if you are fighting one zombie and another one joins him, you need to pass the Test again.
This is *in addition* to any Fear Tests that I usually forget to ask for :P
It also does not have any of the other consequences of a failed Fear Test: if you don't pass it, you just lose the Turn.
While this is not actually caused by fear, per se, you still get all the bonuses you normally would for Fear Tests; also, FRT guys who fail the Test end up acting last every Turn instead of first, but they don't lose the whole first Turn.
And finally, the XP and stuff.
You get:
- 1 XP for being there
- 2 XP for reaching 200+ posts in BAU
- one XP for every 10 personal posts (rounded down):
Hector DeSanto 84 => total of 11 XP
Geoff Wayne 68 => total of 9 XP
Nephi Swanson 55 => total of 8 XP
Jane Donato 27 => total of 5 XP
Monica D'Angelo 24 => total of 5 XP
Finally, you all get one extra CP, to be spent in Skills only; those who lost half a XP or more in the rounding (due to having x5 to x9 posts) get an extra one. Those with x1 to x4 posts may exchange one (and only one) XP with a CP.
So:
Geoff Wayne x8 => +2 CP
Nephi Swanson x5 => +2 CP
Jane Donato x7 => +2 CP
Hector DeSanto x4 => +1 CP
Monica D'Angelo x4 => +1 CP
Note that the post total is counted on both the IC and the OOC: it should be lower, but I couldn't be bothered :P
CP's can only be spent on skills, but they can be spent on a 1:1 basis. XP can be spent on Qualities on a 1:1 basis, or to remove one (and only one) level of a single Drawback, also on a 1:1 basis. Drawbacks that do not have levels, of course, will be removed entirely.
While CP's are a lot more cost-effective than XP, they have two disadvantages: one, they cannot be saved - you must spend them before the next session begins. Two, you can only use one CP per Skill, and you cannot stack XP on that.
Basically, they are a way of saying "my character has this skill they haven't had a chance to show" or "my character's skill was really ready for the next level, he was only missing that little bit".
