Game 1: Fr. Paddy O'Donovan

Turn 1 - South Church
Blessing: instead of having an encounter here,
you may spend 5 toughness worth of monster
trophies or 1 gate trophy to have any investigator
you choose, Blessed

The hour is late, the sun having long disappeared below the horizon, and a fire crackles merrily in the fireplace. Father O'Donovan, laid out in his favorite chair, was very much enjoying the heat it radiated and was happily reading today's newspaper.

Having set shop in Arkham's northern district, the freak
show carnival is set to stay for an undefined period of time.
The Carnival's owner, 'Darke', expects that people will flood his
gates later on after sunset when the shows are set to begin.

"Come and get your fortune's read, or try your hand at the games...
everyone sure to find something that is to their liking."
Admission is free.
Tonight only!

Suddenly his phone rang.

Paddy looks over at the phone in surprise.  Don't get many calls at this hour.  Paddy walks over and answers.  "South Church, Fr. Paddy speaking."

"Hi Father, sorry to bother you again at this hour," you recognize 'Ma's' voice immediately. She runs the local Boarding House a few streets away, and is frequently at the church volunteering with the poor. Ma' takes in strays of all kinds. Matter of fact, you don't remember a day when she didn't have some pentioner over there, "You remember my old pentioner Ms. Jamieson...?"

To be honest he didn't.  There seemed to be so many of late that they began to blur together.  "Of course I do, Ma.  Is she is some special need?" Paddy inquires.

Re: Game 1: Fr. Paddy O'Donovan

"She's seeing lights at the place next door again, poor thing. Insists that there's something bad about the place. Oh, Father...! That place's been abandoned for years... and I'm getting too old to check out things like that. I also have a new guest over, and I should be getting to him," the elderly woman's voice wasn't quite pleading, but she was concerned. "I hear that they've sent her to St. Mary's psychiatric wing, luckily they didn't think she needed much else than a good night's sleep... but if she starts talking about lights, they're sure to lock her up at the Asylum..."

"Don't worry, Ma.  I'll take a look around the old place to and then swing by the hospital to set her mind at ease.  No trouble at all.  Now you get back to your guest and I'll go see what I can see."

With a sigh, Paddy hung up the phone and hefted himself out of his seat.  He took down a long coat against the chill and stepped out into the night.  He'd start with the Historical Society first.
