Re: Coppernight Hold (Igatho and Holy)
The slyblade tries to hit Kitau and gets an arm sliced off for it. "NO!" Igatho yells angrily!

Holy stands up. "...ow." and says, "Alright. That's enough." and steps forward, bursting with holy energy! All his allies' wounds close up (Grimly's wounds START to close) and the dragon and slyblade look weak-kneed!

Holy then says, "Thanks, Kitau! Now you heal up!" and all her wounds vanish. Then Holy snaps his fingers and two of the three remaining minions spontaneously combust, collapsing!

Kitau calls out for Igatho to "grab daddy!"

Igatho cleaves the slyblade's head off, then does as mommy asked. Then charges the dragon! "BAD DWAGGY!" and hacks deeply into the dragon! The dragon shrieks in pain!

The kobold swings and the dragon claws at Igatho and both do so in vain, hitting air as they find it hard to reach the baby's legs from their standpoint.

Re: Coppernight Hold (Igatho and Holy)
While things are looking up in general for the group, Grimly's dice luck remains it's usual self.  At least he doesn't have to roll for his second wind health like he would have in another system?

Re: Coppernight Hold (Igatho and Holy)
Kitau stops shivering and blink-blinks in awe.

"Wow.  Nevermind the hall, then.  Spread out, boys."

Kitau hurries over to flank the last kobold with Iga and snaps her whip at it.

"This one, hon."

Down it goes.

Re: Coppernight Hold (Igatho and Holy)
Holy snaps his fingers again and the dragon gets burned! Holy points his staff at Grimly, who then no longer feels weak or slow. Same soon happens to Holy Moley.

Igatho says, "Dwaggy looks yummy!" and hacks deeper into the dragon, who squeals!

The dragon moves to try and run for it, but Igatho smashes the dragon again! Bone crunching can be heard.

The dragon is unable to flee, so it tries a last-ditch spite move! It does that nasty breathe again! But coughs and sputters. It claws at Igatho violently and only manages a little scratch.

Re: Coppernight Hold (Igatho and Holy)
"Thanks for that." Grimly says, as he becomes significantly less ****ed up.  He circles around the weakened Dragonling, and hooks his sickle into one of it's open wounds, violently tearing it free along with a spray of blood.  Not quite enough to finish the job himself, but more than enough to make the end results inevitable.

Re: Coppernight Hold (Igatho and Holy)
Kitau steps over to the dragon and whips it.

"It's made of ice and blood, hon.  Your favorite!"

So much for that dragon!

Re: Coppernight Hold (Igatho and Holy)
Igatho chops off the head, flops to her butt and begins nomming on fresh dead dragon! Happy baby squeals come from her as she does.

Holy Moley glances while heading to the back caged area and says, "Good girl, Igatho. Good job, Kitau, Grimly. I'm gonna check back here for the crystal. One of you check the throne?"

With that, Holy finds the lever and opens the bars to reveal some captured dwarves. No sign of crystal back there.

But with a cursory search, anyone looking around the throne will find a crystal about the size of Holy's torso.

Re: Coppernight Hold (Igatho and Holy)
Grimly doubts the dragonling is literally made of ice, but isn't about to bring this up to the baby currently chewing through it's skull.

"Hmm, it seems not all of these crystals are so large you need a cart for them."

Kitau gives a nod to the dwarves.

"We'll be taking this crystal.  We'll be needing it for saving the world."

She sits with her baby and has a taste herself.

Re: Coppernight Hold (Igatho and Holy)
Holy Moley decides not to partake unless it is offered. The dwarves look at the crystal and then the team. "To save the world? Sounds a bit extreme, even if it is a big crystal. But aight... go right ahead. We would have been too dead to have it anyway were it not for you. Now we can enjoy everything else we normally own."

Igatho offers a chunk of dragon meat to Grimly. "Nomnom?"

Re: Coppernight Hold (Igatho and Holy)
"Well, hopefully what you have left is easily replaced."  How did the Kobolds get 'Bane Rulz' no the ceiling? Maybe they stacked things?

The monk botches either his perception or insight check, as he absentmindedly grabs the chunk with his left arm and noms it in two bites.  "...I think I would have preferred-" brains?  "It more well done, but thank you."

Kitau nods to the dwarves and smiles that Grimly shared with baby.

"You did great.  Been meaning to say I especially liked that arm-stretch thing."

She hops up and pat-pats Iga.

"Good girl, sharing!  Time to go.  We can take the rest with us to eat on the way."

Re: Coppernight Hold (Igatho and Holy)
Igatho picks up the dragon, stuffs it in her mouth to "hold" it with said mouth. Then hefts her oversized axe and sucks on the dragon while following the others.

Holy Moley says, "Don't forget that while we can teleport there, they don't know about Igatho yet and she didn't touch the crystal. So we'll need to go there on foot." Not that they have far to go.

"While every bit helps, and you gave your reasons.  If the crystal didn't call her up in the first place that means according to prophecy logic she could sit out of this whole thing without endangering the world."

Re: Coppernight Hold (Igatho and Holy)
Holy Moley nods and says, "What she said. Let's see if we can get audience with the princess."

After some tarp-cover on Igatho again, the team manages to get audience with Adrie again. Holy then explains that he had hidden their fourth party member in the interest of not causing panic. "I didn't know there would be a gnoll and a kobold present at the meeting... or that people would somehow not panic over that. But here she is: Igatho."

And he unveils the baby giant. This affords a raised eyebrow from Adrie. Which soon morphs into a helpless smile. "Cute. Well... Let us see if touching the crystal will cause her to be chosen..."

Soon, Igatho touches Adrie's crystal and, like it did for the other three, it glows. "Looks like your child has been chosen. Know, then, that she has my protection whenever you teleport here."

Re: Coppernight Hold (Igatho and Holy)
Let's be fair.  Igatho is totally worth panicking over more than Gnolls, Kobolds, and poison drooling acid bleeding monstrositi-oh, Rhagar didn't take that checkbox?  Okay, Gnolls and Kobolds.

"I do not suppose we have an estimate for how many of these there are?"

Adrie nods. "Approximately 100 of them."

Holy ohs. "Wow... well... good thing there are multiple groups looking for them."

Adrie nods. "That would be why, yes."

Igatho looks over at Grimly. "Do the arm thing!"

Adrie asks, "Arm thing...?"

Holy looks at Adrie and shrugs. Then looks at Grimly.

"His arm thing is for smashing, Iga.  Now is not the time for smashing."

She bows to the princess, holds Iga's hand, and heads out.

"Doing 'The arm thing' is not... strictly voluntary." For smashing is a good sum up.

Polite bows are go, as is going back outside is go.

Re: Coppernight Hold (Igatho and Holy)
Igatho reaches towards Grimly with one arm while being dragged the opposite direction by Kitau with the other arm. "ARM THINGIE!!" as her eyes water.

But Grimly explains he can't. With wording she doesn't understand. So Holy translates, "He wants to, honey, but he can not right now."

Igatho stuffs her thumb in her mouth, pouting.

The group makes it outside and people are murmuring in the street at the sight of the now-exposed baby giant. But since they JUST came from the palace, most people are assuming it is safe... well... safe enough to not riot.

Re: Coppernight Hold (Igatho and Holy)
Don't put that arm in your mouth Igatho, it would start punching your stomach after you ate it and tummy aches always make a cranky baby.

"I wonder, after we leave how many people will want to still mention being scared of a baby?"  Sure, a giant baby, but it's always hard to make that sort of thing sound good even with context.
