"Good girl, Igatho."

Kitau flicks her whip at one of the kobolds.

"That one next."

Reacting to the whip, the kobold yells, "Ow! I'll show y-" wheee! There goes that kobold's head. Igatho smiles. "I cut 'em!"

The kobold who was feeling his throat freezes and his head slides off.

Re: Coppernight Hold (Igatho and Holy)

Holymoley walks up to the edge of the excavation. He holds his staff in his right hand and reaches out with his left hand. When he turns his hand to face palmside up, spikes shoot up from the ground below the slingers! The slingers react fast, but two of them get scraped up!

Holymoley snaps his fingers a few times as if trying to get his magic to ignite or something. "Hmmm.." he says, mostly to himself.

Igatho PUNTS the nearby kobold and then uppercuts his midair self with her axe! The two halfs go falling to the ground and some blood rains down. Igatho then hurries down the stairs to the kobold who was "lucky" enough to dodge Holy's spikes.

Re: Coppernight Hold (Igatho and Holy)

A slinger panics and throws a pot at Igatho, but misses horribly.

The one minion to survive the initial onslaught rushes up behind Igatho to flank with his buddy and stabs at her, seeming to only scrape the outer layer of Igatho's skin. Or was that a layer of ice-frost on Iga's skin?

Murphy has apparently taken offense to Grimly's first turn going so well, (three out of four hit rolls made, still kills 4 enemies), so inflicts catastrophic dice failure upon the monk this time around.

The slingers freak out and throw pots at Igatho! One of them hits and it explodes into fire, making Igatho look scared!

The pot itself scratched her.

"Kill the one that hit you, sweetheart."

Kitau points at the minion and begins walking down the stairs.  Iga smash!  She strolls past the blood spray and stands next to the slinger next to Grimly, flanking it with him!

"Good girl."

Re: Coppernight Hold (Igatho and Holy)

Holymoley waves his staff in Grimly's direction and Grimly's wounds close up and he feels good as new, albeit slightly more exhausted than when he woke up this morning.

Holy continues snapping his fingers. "Why won't it.. darn it. Sorry, Grimly! Sorry Igatho! Just hold on; I'll get the bad pot mojo off of you soon..."

Still on fire, Igatho growls and her eyes start to glow slightly. "BAD KOBOLDS!" She swings downward, execution style and the kobold meeps, managing to dodge aside! The axe causes a crack in the ground, but Igatho easily pulls it free.

Igatho then moves over to put herself between Kitau and the other slingers.

Then another slinger tosses a gluepot at Igatho, hitting her hard enough to actually get past her raging toughness. Igatho is crying like a tantrum toddler.

Re: Coppernight Hold (Igatho and Holy)

A kobold tries to shift away from Igatho WHAAAAAM! And you thought these guys looked tougher than the minions. OK, so they survive a hit from Igatho, but still.

He manages to get back, hurls a pot at Igatho, reigniting the fire that was JUST starting to die down! "WAAAAH!!!!!"

Another slinger throws a pot at Igatho, but misses. "These monsters are too powerful! I'm warning the others!"

"You do that," Kitau says.

She steps forward and makes an opening for Grimly to attack a slinger.

"Tell them to make peace with their false gods before they die.  Or come out here and beg for mercy if they want to live."

Re: Coppernight Hold (Igatho and Holy)

Holymoley snaps his fingers and the slinger next to Grimly spontaneously combusts in white flame, collapsing! "There we go." and the flames on Igatho die.

Igatho turns, still furious as frost clouds just spill off the giant and her eyes are glowing pure white. She screams "NOOOOO!!! DIIIIE!!!" and her axe starts getting covered in a thin layer of ice as it spills over from covering Igatho's skin. The baby demonstrates she can reach the kobold from where she is, despite being 10 feet away.

Igatho hacks the kobold who was GOING to run. Her swing goes upward, chopping the kobold in half vertically while knocking the kobold up before Igatho spins violently and BATS the two halves with her axe, chopping them into smaller pieces while sending the pieces everywhere! It literally rains body parts.

Half of the kobold's head lands at Kitau's feat, encased in ice. The other half of his head lands at Holy's feet, also encased in ice. His left arm lands in front of Grimly, the kobold arm blackened from frostbite. A gift for her family and friend!

You thought we were done describing this wonderful scene? The kobold's intestine lands on the fence, appearing as an icy wreath for decoration! Honestly, for all the parts flying everywhere, that's as much as can be kept track of during combat...

Re: Coppernight Hold (Igatho and Holy)

Grimly pulls back his left hand, and throws a punch from where he is.  This is somewhat more notable than usual because at the average stopping point his bones just keep going, the kobold's face ripped clean off before Grimly's bones snap back into place like nothing ever happened.

Which is what the monk acts like is the case, totally nothing out of the ordinary. really.

Kitau smiles proudly.

"Goood giiirl, Igatho!  No bad kobolds got away!  Now Mommy kiss to make it better."

She's sure to wipe her lips dry first lest they get stuck to the frost giant baby.  She spares a smile for the boys too.

"Not like you need praise, but I gotta say I love watching you boys in action too."

Re: Coppernight Hold (Igatho and Holy)

Igatho hears her mom's voice. She looks around, teeth gritted, and sees no threats. Her breathing begins slowing as Kitau kisses the baby, Igatho's wounds healing. The ice dies down a bit, slowly vanishing from the axe and Igatho's skin. "...no kobolds?" she asks, looking curious. Then flops to her butt and hugs Kitau. "Yay! Kobolds dead!"

Holy hops down from where he's at and says, "Thanks, Kitau. Though all I did was snap my fingers... Good job, everyone!" he waves a hand at Grimly's direction and the stink goes away. "Is everyone alright?"

He gives Igatho a quick lookover, then looks over Grimly. Then gives Kitau a smile.

Grimly readjusts the stereotypical monk fist bandages around his hand, and comments "So long as you are not a kobold, things seem pretty good right now."

The Monk considers the hole in the ground, in case it's more possible to see it's bottom from next to it.

Re: Coppernight Hold (Igatho and Holy)

Kitau's affections have thoroughly brought Igatho back from insanity to sane and really happy. She squeals happily and munches on a kobold. "Crunchy!"

Shaft: A large hole drops 20 feet to the top of a staircase leading to room 2. A sturdy rope ladder hangs from the southern lip. All Grimly sees below is a dirt floor.

Holy says, "We can rest now, so I advise we do so." he then heads over to Igatho and switches from cold logician mode to endearing daddy mode. "Rawr! Daddy TACKLE!" and leaps onto Igatho's belly. The giant plays along, flopping on her back and giggling while he raspberries her belly.

After some resting, Holy elects Grimly go scout things, "But we'll be RIGHT behind you. Meaning Kit and I should descend first and let you know if it is safe. If it isn't, Igatho can pull us up quickly. If it is, you and Igatho can come down."

Eating kobolds, the model example of sanity.  Well, compared to the alternatives it's downright sedate really.

His dice luck is back up again, so he returns shortly.  "Some blood spatter around the general area, and some people hiding behind a statue that looks like it could easily tip over.  The obvious temptation of pushing it over towards them, probably would not be able to be done fast enough"

Re: Coppernight Hold (Igatho and Holy)

Holy ponders. Then says in a hushed tone. "I don't really think the kobolds are going to abandon their own ambush trap, but Kitau has a valid question: *are* there places to seek cover once we're engaged in combat? And I agree we should avoid the statue until we see a chance to tip it onto the enemy, rather than them tipping it on us."

Igatho copies her dad's hushed tone as she says, "Squishhhhhh..."

A dragonshield charges Igatho! It looks like he would have hit were it not for Kitau giving Igatho another one of her veteran warnings, causing the baby to dodge and HACK!

The kobold manages to keep his insides inside himself. For now. But that HURT!

Kitau brazenly moves past the kobold, inviting it to attack.  But Iga interrupts the attack with an axe parry.  Kitau whips at the dragonshield.

"Bad kobold!"
