TotOM: Dib's Wagon of Doom

It seems that the village of Levoča is being somewhat "terrorized" by the goblin Dib and his grappling goblin followers in yet another strange contraption. It seems that since the defeat of his roadside fortress, this would-be chieftain has plotted his revenge and learned that those who wrecked his fortress had been in this village. It seems that Dib has managed to transform a stolen merchant wagon into some sort of machine of war.

Upon getting close enough for the party to see what is going on with their own eyes they see what has annoyed the villagers and force them to get out of this things way for the time being, when asked why they aren't attacking it, a villager answered, "For us, its safer to let them continue to tire themselves out, and then we'll just burn the wagon down from a safe distance or something... we're fortunate that the wagon is sort of stuck here and not near our homes so it's more of a nuisance than a true threat at this point... but we aren't sure how dangerous its occupants are so we aren't taking any risks, but since you all are here, can you please deal with this problem for us?"

The wagon that otherwise might haul crates of food to market has been capped with a crude wooden turret. The carpentry evident here is suspect. The turret is comprised of old boards and rusted shields. Wherever gaps exist between the wagon and the turret, more wood was hastily nailed on. Multiple slits in the walls of the wagon and its cap allow the passengers to see out into the street. Small dead animals have been nailed to the wheels. The sad corpses turn slowly as the wagon lurches forward.

Amalar asks, "....what is with our enemies and their decorating things with animal corpses? In the case of the monster with the scythe... that thing was a mindless monster. But what purpose does it serve to these goblins?"

Hunter says, "I dunno. Maybe since they are attacking Levoca, they heard the stories and thought such decorations might scare the people?"

Mix says, "Be careful, Hunter. If anyone in that wagon saw you from our last encounter with goblins, you won't be able to get in close like last time."

Sharpshooter penalty removal > Archery +2 hit bonus vindication number ??? at this point. "Think their boss is in this one, or hiding somewhere ranting about his admittedly dangerous contraptions will let him conquer the margreve? Still, we should probably try to deal with this without the town at our backs."

Barbara sighs.  "Please don't take offense, Hunter, but I'm sorely tempted to clean the gene pool of these misfits without offering an olive branch."

She then jogs to the town.  Once within earshot of the wagon, she raises her voice in that signature authoritative shout of hers, "DIB!  I CHALLENGE YOU TO A ONE-ON-ONE WRESTLE!"

Pyrus winces.  "Careful, Miss Barbara.  I'll bet he cheats with potions or something."

Caeldrim follows along behind Barbara and mutters, “I am not sure if Dib would agree to that and risk losing. But it might at least reveal if he is present.”

Moments later, a voice can be heard from the wagon, "While I'd love to, business before pleasure. But thank you for revealing yourself as one of the people who attacked my fortress... after all who else would have heard that we enjoy wrestling above all else."

Rocky frowns as it seems Dib isn't a total idiot, especially since he is somewhat skilled at engineering ideas, even if he lacks the carpentry skill, or any other skill, necessary to build those items without them looking ready to fall apart.
