Ancient Wounds: Actions Between Adventures (OOC Thread)

With the party having just completed the Hills of Crooked Sleep module, the party has amassed quite a bit of loot to allocate and money to save or spend:
22,980gp worth of coins, gemstones, and artwork which is a base share of 3,830gp however the party has also acquired a number of unclaimed cyphers exchanged to the Schylar family to research purposes and magical items that could be sold which will increase this base share size.
The Exchange rates are 100gp for a common item, 400gp for an uncommon item, 4,000gp for a rare item, and 40,000gp for a very rare item. Cyphers as 'consumable items' are worth half these values.

Unclaimed items are the Basilisk Dagger (Rare) and any item listed in the A.W. Relic and Cypher list description that is unclaimed could be traded in.

Current Group Total is 95,180gp+10gp from existing group funds to make the number even results in a base party share of 15,865gp per PC.
Additionally:
- Mittens is selling her Gloves of Swimming and Climbing for 400gp, so her share ends up being 16,265gp.
- Mix is selling her Wand of Web for 400gp, so her share ends up being 16,265gp.

Current item acquirements via crafting, enchanting, or purchasing as needed. These will be updated as things get closer to being finalized.

Ben will be getting Stabilized Forge Horn Half-Plate +1 will cost 2,935gp to craft including enchantments to reduce the weight to 22lb and negate the disadvantage on stealth checks, as the party has someone who can craft and enchant the armor. Ben also wants a Cloak of Protection which as an uncommon item is easy to craft/enchant for 175gp and is also crafted to function as a cloak of the Manta Ray for an additional 175gp. Ben will also craft a Goggles of the Night for additional 262.5gp. Ben will also take a batch of restorative ointments for 52.5gp and an amulet of proof against poison and a periapt of health for 1,925gp. Total cost: 5,612.5gp out of 15,865gp leaving 10,340gp left over.

Fidgetron is looking into getting a Stabilized Forge Horn Plate +1 which will cost 3,685gp and is also enchanted to only weigh 35lbs and does not impose disadvantage on stealth checks (95gp for that enchantment), and an 'enhanced' +1 Spring Shock Shield which will cost 1000gp total to have it function as a spiked shield that will inflict 1d4+stat piercing+1d6 lightning damage when triggered as a bonus action or as a reaction to being hit by a foe within 5ft. The shield still protects the wearer from 1 point of lightning damage. The shield no longer needs to be cranked to be recharged nor does it have charges, as it now recharges itself. (And unlike the retaliation implant which requires attunement this shield does not require attunement but does not bypass action economy.) Merging the magic of the Mithril Blade of the Ogre Mage into the Stun Baton costs 2250gp.
The 'Officer's Blade' is a +1 Longsword that deals 1d8+1 Piercing or Slashing damage plus 2 Lightning damage. It has 20 charges, and upon a hit, a charge can be used to inflict an additional 2d6 lightning damage (instead of the +2). Each day at dawn the Enhanced stun baton regains 2d8+4 charges. A hollow along with three clear gemstones are incorporated into the handle of the mace. That hollow can contain three scrolls and the enchantments allow for replacing the bludgeoning damage with a damage type from one of the three cantrip scrolls that can be contained within the hollow. Each of the clear gemstones will take on a color representing a damage type based on a cantrip scroll within the hollow, and are used to switch the piercing or slashing damage inflicted by the Officier's Blade to that type of damage. The Officier's blade requires attunement.
Getting crafted Cloak of the Manta Ray (as she already has a form of goggles of the night) 175gp.
1,925gp to craft to gain immunity to poisons and diseases.
The combined cost is: 9,035gp out of 15,865gp leaving 4,830gp.

Michael will be further enchanting the Scholar's Cap to provide protective qualities of the Mageplate Cap (which boils down to having 2 charges to cast Mage Armor on himself only and when his Mage Armor is active, it looks plate-like and provides an AC of 15+ dex, which would mirror bracers of defense's +2 AC that would stack with Mage armor and also function without mage armor. Additionally, the cap will be enchanted to function as Night Owl Specs) These enchantments/enhancements will cost a total of 3,850gp. Michael will also spend 2250gp to upgrade his Oorgolian Slug Thrower like Mix's. Additionally, he will spend 2250gp to upgrade the launcher similarly to the Oorgolian Slug Thrower (depleted damage will be 5d4). Will also be crafting Goggles of the Night (175gp) and Cloak enchanted to be both a Cloak of the Manta Ray and a Mimicloak (combined cost is 437.5gp). Crafting an Efficient Ammo Pouch (Uncommon, weighs 2 lbs but can carry 60lbs of ammunition or alchemical items that can be held in one hand and weigh no more than 1lb each. Drawing items from this pouch can be done as part of the attack to use said item.) 175gp. Crafting a Portable Alchemical Stasis Bench will cost 700gp (175gp to let it shrink from full-size weighting 320lbs down to a tiny 5lb 'shrunken model', with 2 additional enchantments, one to preserve all the ingredients being used to make items or stored, up to 180lbs of materials can be stored within the Bench without affecting its shrunken weight. While shrunken those items can't be accessed. 175*1.5gp for stasis effect and 175*1.5gp for storage of the materials. [700gp total]) Crafting an amulet of proof against poison and a periapt of health for 1,925gp.
A batch of Restorative Ointment (3 jars, 5 doses/jar, each jar 1.5lb) (52.5gp)
- Batch crafting 12 Thunder Flasks, 12 Gloop, 9 Flash Bottles, 9 Explosive Ointments, 12 Bombs, and 27 sticks of Dynamite will cost 1,440gp) [All except 21 sticks of dynamite will be in the Ammo pouch, the remaining dynamite will be in the bag of holding.]
The combined cost is: 13,090gp out of 15,865hp leaving 2,785gp.
Also getting Lore Books for Arcana, History, Nature, and Religion for 100gp. (Stored in Abe's storage space.)
Will need to spend 1,800gp to record all of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level spells from Umeli's spellbook into his Mixture book leaving 710gp left over.


Elric will be crafting his alchemical hand cannon which will cost 2,399gp and the Stabilized Forge Horn Steam Armor which will cost 4,775gp and will upgrade his existing +1 Spring Shock shield to be identical to what Fidgetron will be getting that will cost 725gp. Will be getting both goggles of the night (To extend his dark vision range to 120ft) and cloak of the manta ray. Elric will also enchant a Chimeric Collar, a harness enchanted as a Collar of Voyage, and a set of four bracers enchanted as a collar of Power for Rush (1,850gp each). Finally a Periapt of Proof against Poison for himself (1,750gp). The total cost is 15,249gp out of 15,515gp leaving 966gp.

Mix/Eden Enchanting the Oorgolian Slug Thrower so that it works at half power (1d10 instead of 2d10) when 'depleted' and recharges over a short/long rest will cost 2250gp (includes eternal firestone as 'backup power generator'). Will also be spending 750gp plus 500gp for eternal firestone to upgrade the Clockwork Mount with a 'booster module' and enhanced power source doubling the mount's speed to 120ft and letting it have a sustained overland speed of 24mph. The 'Enhanced Clockwork Mount' also gains +1HD upping its HP from 13 to 19 and its AC increases from 10 to 14. Will also get crafted Goggles of Night (175gp) and Cloak enchanted to be both a Cloak of the Manta Ray and a Mimicloak (combined cost is 437.5gp). 1,925gp to craft to gain immunity to poisons and diseases.
Spending 6,037.5gp out of 16,265gp leaving 10,227.5gp, although I have no clue what else she'll be picking up.

Mittens will be getting a combination gun based on a mini-bomb launcher and a magnum pistol that will cost 2260gp. The Minibomb Magnum (Pistol) weighs 5lbs and is made of Stabilized Forge Horn and counts as a +1 weapon for purposes of Hit/Damage/DC calculations.
Minibomb Magnum (Pistol) [Does not require attunement.] Also, Mittens will be getting the following crafted: Goggles of Night (175gp) and Cloak of Manta Ray (175gp). Insignia of Claws made from Tarrasque bone for +1 to hit and damage with unarmed strikes. (175gp)
- Magnum Barrel has a range of 45/135ft and does 1d10+1+Dex bonus force damage and 1d6 'energy damage' with the energy type chosen between fire, radiant, lightning, or thunder damage. This attack has the Deadly, Handgun, Natatorial, and Breach (2) properties.
- Minibomb launcher barrel targets a 15ft diameter sphere between 10ft and 60ft from the user, with targets in the area making a Dex save with a DC of 9+Dex Bonus+Prof. Bonus (including the +1). On a failed saving throw a target takes 2d6+1+dex bonus 'energy damage'. This energy damage is the same type currently selected for the magnum barrel. The minibomb launcher barrel has the Natatorial and handgun properties.
- Tarrasque Skin Jacket, with Gomonite Wool interior: Requires attunement but grants +2 AC, resistance to Thunder and Acid damage, a +1 to all saving throws and ability checks, climbing like gloves of climbing, and advantage on Charisma (Performance) checks. It is the same vivid 'shooter brown' color that the Tarrasque is. The total cost to craft/enchant is 3,025gp.
A Periapt of Proof against Poison to gain immunity to poisons and the poisoned condition for 1,750gp.
Currently spending 7,560gp out of 16,265gp leaving 8,705gp left over.
Not sure what else Mittens will be picking up.

Note: Restorative Ointment might be a good thing for people in the group to acquire.
175gp market creates 5 doses, ½ lb, as an action someone can use a dose by swallowing or applying it to the skin. Doing this recovers 2d8+2hp, cures poison, and any disease the individual may have. (52.5gp 'batch' crafting cost for Michael, takes 18 hours. A batch for Micheal currently creates 3 Restorative Ointments - 15 doses total.)
An amulet of proof against poison and a periapt of health are two items that have a combined cost of 1,925gp to craft to gain immunity to poisons and diseases.

Ironically with the minibomb magnum pistol the javelin of lightning seems redundant, and the claw tattoo doesn't mesh well with your astral form, but the insignia of claws is pretty similar for the +1to hit and damage. And the insignia doesn't require attunement, unlike the tattoo. So that is probably a better option.
I also remember Will complaining about how the ring of freedom isn't that good since it does NOTHING against nonmagical means like poisons or critter abilities.

So what is mittens mostly wanting?
More offense? The insignia of claws world well for that in melee. The minibomb magnum already gives you pretty good ranged attack options. And astral form gives you melee reach.
More defense? Bracers of defense or the mantle of spell protection are nice options as is the cloak of displacement.

Also if it is more of a capability you want to gain or improve I could always come up with a custom item if needed, or possibly find a leger item you may not realize exists. Like one that ups your DC for ki and class abilities.
