Re: THE WALK THE PLANK

With his hood shading his eyes Grimalkin accompanied Justin as he lead the way to this Temple of Eta. Grimalkin out of habit and years of surviving, took note of alleyways, connecting roof tops or rooftops that would be easy to access, underground access, and any other items that may one day prove useful.

Across the Avenue   towards the   east.. they see  a very LArge  Building.." Kron's Equipment ".. nest to it a smaller  butr  wellc ared for Inn 'The Bridge Inn" as  well as the Palisades  for  the  east bacnk of the  River Navy  , Gate   watch. On the  Coner , where they stand, is an Inn called "Merchant's rest'  and  , there are many a cart or  horse   tied there...

Re: THE WALK THE PLANK

Maintaining a steady pace through the traffic that ebbed and flowed along the road they followed Justin's inherent alertness to possible threat, acquired through years of training and time in Eta's service with the Crimson Arrows. Passing various buildings the pair made their way towards the Temple.

>>>>>>>From The City

Slipping the hood of his cloak back for the first time since being in the city Grimalkin lead his new friend to a table in the corner. Waving a serving girl over "Two pints of your best and something cold for our young friend."

Re: THE WALK THE PLANK

Ghost was   savoring  the shaved  ice.. taking  one  tiny spoonful at a  time from each flavor...

.. You guys  can have a  taste if ya  want?.... This is Good  stuff..only had it  once..  had some kinda  yellow   jusice on it  from tree  around the Red Isles.. I like this  stuff better.

Polt  smiled  as he  took some of the meats  and  folded a bit of bread around it, ..I am around, at times.... By Company  works well , witht eh Arrows..though many of our  Kind  outside the wall  are killed out right, it  is no fault, but thier  own, as they hire out to many wrong people...sometimes.. we help guard the Orc Carts..some of  the Lower  types  will try to Take  what my people earn.

after a  bit  and swallow of  some Coco ice, Ghost said,..Arrow s  work with the Beggar's Guild alot... we can get meesage..hear things.. follow people.. most folks treat us like trash...

..I have  a choice to make though...2  more years i will be   12?... so i either have to Join a thieves Guild..or  one of th pleasure Guilds?.. or   the Navy..or..a Merc Company...don't wanna Join the army.....The Golden Horn Thieves  Guild  works ghood  with the Arrows... but  The Red Blades   do not..there are  always people dying during the night because of  fights...

Polt swallows a bite,..and that's when the Orc Carts  come.

Ghost just happily  enjoyed his treat.

Re: THE WALK THE PLANK

Grimalkin continued to sit and enjoy the wine, food and company. Ghost was an enthusiastic young man and full of potential, with a little training and encouragement he would do well for himself. Polt on the other hand was different from most Orcs Grimalkin had dealt with in the past, if he was an example of Orcs in this land things were different indeed.

After a bit Grimalkin leaned back in his chair sipping at his wine "So, either of you gentlemen happen to have any bits of information that may prove useful. I may have to stat looking for ways to make some coin before long."

Polt  shrugged  as he ate  and drank,..it  depends... there are always postings on the  Gate boards...... and if you.... do some of your  own work, there are always things happening at night.

Ghost  was about half way done with  the   treat, he looked   up at Grim and said,..aren't you an Arrow?.... They don't  stay in the City too long.. Mr  Reedrick  always  has  some   sort of job for them?

"Yes young Ghost you are most likely right, but I prefer to have some things in mind should funds start to run low before the Arrows have a mission." Looking about the room at the various people "After all those shaved ice things could start to add up after a while."

The Orc   raised an eyebrow,...I though the Elf Captain ws the Boss?

Ghost  takes  a  spoonful of the  coco ice,..yeah... sorta.. but Mr Reedrick runs the town..and hands out jobs  and such..  the Elf  Guys  Just goes out and kills bad guys...

Grimalkin couldn't help but laugh, "You are quite knowledgeable for one so young Ghost. But should either of you come by information that may prove profitable and not be against the Arrows interests, please drop by and let me know. I am sure I could make it profitable for you also."

"Now if the two of you would excuse me I think I will go speak with Reedrick." Sliding his chair out Grimalkin stepped away from the table and looked around the inn for Reedrick.

In reply to Grimalkin (msg # 438):

Indeed Master Grimalkin this day Eta's hand hath brought several happenstances, we shouldst discuss with Master Reedrick.  Justin introduced the Priest and slipped into a seat indicating he should join them. Relating the Brothers dilemma to his comrades in arms.

When an opportunity presented itself Justin crosses to the two who assisted Grimalkin. Extending a hand in traditional greeting. Masters Polk anst Ghost, One be Justin Haveslane Devout of Eta. One thank's Thee mightily for Thy courtesy in rendering assist unto a Fellow Arrow. How be Thy Companies one doth trust they support Thee well. Chatting with these for a short while then returned to Grimalkin, Reedrick and Etaian Brother.

After a refreshing rest, Kr'wyn joins Justin, looking for Haildass and Nara and Myranda and Cassandra. He is not completely surprised by their absence, as they were going to town or retreated like himself to rest. He is mildly surprised by all the new people who seem to have joined Justin.
