"I swear,"he says to no one in particular,"almost as if a bird has entered the room."

He scans around the rafters of the tavern, attempting to locate the source of the sound.

Re: Bowshot

When Riku gets closer to the buildings she flies in between them and begins looking for straggling or lost Arrows.  Hearing Haildas and Krwyn talking, she makes her way into the tavern and lands on the end of the table.

Hello fellow travelers, she said boastfully and brushes back her hair to show the crimson arrow neatly braided into her hair.

Re: Bowshot

Kr'wyn returns to the table with Haildas just in time to greet a fellow Arrow. First he reports about the bard: "Nothing new to tell. He knows nothing special about the missing people and according to him, singing about the Arrows was pure chance. Perhaps some talk in a more private space would learn us more, but I don't really expect much."

Riku settled in and got the attention of one of the servers to grab her a couple pinches of bread and a small shot of some mild pale ale.

Did you catch the name of this bard who spoke, er, sang of the Arrows? she asks looking from Krwyn to Haildas.

She looks around for others aside from the two at the table she's at. Where's...the others? she asks softly.

"My apologies but I don't believe we have met before.  I am Haildas the Wanderer.  How is it that you seem to know whom we are?  As for the others....it's been an odd day.  Seemed one of our group insulted a guard and took off.  The gentleman we were following at the time, a Justin, went to speak with whomever is in charge to try and smooth things over.  We have not seen him since."

"No, the bard didn't offer his name. He said he found it normal to sing about the Arrows a good and positive song, but I thought there are not so many bards that will take that choice without reason. That's why I spoke to him. But I will try again in private."

Re: Bowshot

Riku nodded and smiled.  That would be fine, if you so choose.  Any good word of the Arrows is of no harm or foul.

She reaches in her pocket and grabs a few coin that Kree provides her in times of need.  She'll be asking again for a small bit of pocket change when she finds him.  (2 gold)

Give the bard these coin and advise that it is with well regards that we, Arrows, thank him for the bit of good word.

She looked to Haildas a bit surprised, more at herself than them.

My apologies, she said placing her hand upon her chest.  I am Riku.  We may have not met since the group split up and you may or may have just joined.  Think of me as...a courier between the band of brothers.  I relay messages from the original group and leader, Kree and his cousin Ivy and then back to the home base for work details, and now to this group.

She looks between them and takes a nibble on the bread and a sip of the drink.

I am not a mighty fighter like either of  you, but I have been known to spark with the chieftains of the Arrows a time or two.  It is that prowess and savvy that earned me the award to be the courier or messenger.

She nibbles again and takes another sip, thankful to have some grub.

Are you planning on staying and traveling with the current group?  I may seek out the others and let them know your intentions if you wish to move in time with them.

Re: Bowshot

The Odious Sergeants slurs and insults were becoming more intolerant and threatening by the second. To end this Myranda strode away from the foul mouthed guardsman. Her decision to circumvent this situation appeared to have angered the fellow as he called for support from the City Guard, who dispatched several riders along with a War mage. She intended to make her way around the city towards another checkpoint, but this escalation was getting out of hand. From Concealment she Messaged the War Mage intending to come to an amicable resolution to this situation.

Riding Alongside the Warmage, Justin noticed he appeared to be focusing on the task he was undertaking which based on the mumbling and quiet comments he was engaged in appeared to be quite an undertaking.

he  and the  other GUard s  Keep walking, the rider has been long  lost in the darkness..but is closing  in on the   Check point.

The warmage  continues to  walk as  he calls out,..Then..Good LAdy.. you would best be served by appearing now..., the rider  will still be posting the Bounty, but  we may, be able to recall it  before   someone  snatches  at the chance.... But your insult, defiance and flight..cannot  be put to question.

Re: Bowshot

The instant the Elf appears Justin rides forward and sets to binding and gagging the runner manhandling her roughly, as he divests her of her weapons then slings her across his shoulder strides back to the Warmage and deposits her at his feet. Thy Prisoner Master Mage wouldst Thee wish us to continue to carry the insolent Elf into The Cells or doth Thee wish Thy Sergeant to be permitted this honour.

The Mage stooped short when she  appears,    the trooper with a bow  brought it up, the   warriors  with shield  and Blade steps up...

Justin makes  his way, and goes through his actions. As the MAge looks  down at Myra, he starts  slowly as his  eyes  rise to Justin,Well..this  is fine as  far as it goes....would you have acted thus....sooner..perhaps   neither of us , would be stomping  around in the dark

He looks  down at Myra,..your Elven blood. rises to high, it is perhaps, what folk like, least..about  elves.... Your  insult to the guard... coupled with your refusal to follow their orders... was bad enough.... but to take flight..and..refusing to stand  down?.... THis will be a MAtter  for the CAptain of the guard to  sort out.... it is my hope...for you... that he is  in a better mood, then am i...

Gather her up..let us  get back to town... we will send a rider to  take down the bounty claim, and hope no one takes  up the contract, before we cancel it.

Struggling to her feet Myranda would have spit in the Rollers eye, except the gag he forced into her mouth prevented her from doing so. She had to content herself with a wait till Captain Kree hears about this glare. To think this whole thing started when she set out to redressed the Guardsmans insolence towards this half baked Roller wantabe.

The Mage, Two of his troopers  , along with Justin ...and a rather..put out..Myra.

reach the    Bowshot  guards   outside  check point. The New  Guard   collects  Myra's things  and lays them  on the MAts for the MAge to check.

The MAge  takes his time,  while  Justin stands  with  Myra.

some 20 minutes  later  he morons to  Justin, that he may pack the things up, and they would go see the Captain of the guard.

Another Rider  took off to Ironmound , shortly after  to tey and recall the bounty.

as they enter the   town, The MAge  says, more to Myra then anyone else,..now then?... that was not as bad  as all that..was it. Just think how easy things would have been, had you listend to the guards in the first place?

In reply to returning (msg # 752):

Justin had wished to meet with the Captain but under different circumstances than that this however it would allow them to follow up on their assignment and was an opportunity to circumvent a second meeting. Master Mage wouldst it be possible to includeth my team members in this meeting ast our reason for being here is to discuss a mission with the Captain

ooc If so he'll ask for permission to gather them or word to be sent to them to meet him at the Guard Captains Offices.

"We don't know exactly the contents of the contract as Justin had taken the contract. We know it is about solving a case of missing people inBowshot, but we don't know the conditions. If Justin reaches Bowshot this evening or in the morning we can try to fulfill the contract. I hope he has found a solution to save Myranda's skin, else we'll be with three left, and a loss of reputation as well. Now I will seek out the bard with another drink to ask him somewhat more questions."

Kr'wyn walks to the bar and orders another drink for the bard. With the drink he approaches the bard a second time: "I asked you about the missing people in this town. There is more to it than meets the eye, otherwise there would be no contract on solving their abduction. Will some gold from the Arrows help you remember more details you've heard?" Kr'wyn places five gold pieces on the table, his hand on top, waiting for the bard's answer.

Riku tapped her finger along her lower lip deep in thought.

Well, let's see what we can do to fulfill the contract then wrangle up the others.  From there we'll decide what to do.

She looked to Haildas and when Krwym returned relayed the same proposition to him.

In the meantime, she would finish up her meal.
