Khorvar kept alert during the walk even though he knew there was no need. He was use to walking, so this did not bother him. He was amazed at how well hidden the village was. He made him feel good to hear the music and kids.

Khorvar knew he would get bored if he stayed here too long, but a break would be good. He needed to get to know these people, if he was going to be fighting with them.

Stardancer was amazed at the lush green and liveliness of the people.  It was no wonder that Ivy and Kree, and the others fought so hard to preserve this Eden.  It was full of life and joy.  The women were dancing a circle dance.  She smiled as, since her name implied, to dance.  She followed their steps at first.  Having 4 legs might have made her seem awkward, yet, surprisingly she was very graceful.  Her hooves mad a rhythmic drumlike beat, keeping up with the tune.  With her hair and tail both swishing in the dappled light.  She was smiling and enjoying the dance.  "Orlin..come join.  This is fun and should do your old bones good"

Niphre stood by at first, watching the natives dance and soon Stardancer joined, and for a centaur, she was very graceful.

At first, Niphre decided to sit the dancing out, but enjoying the music, stood up and stepped into the circle dance.

Re: Razorhawk Village, home of The Arrows

when the   'welcome  song and Dance' were done,  Kree received a warm kiss from the   Elfmaid he had  danced  with.. Ivy  receivd  three such kisses from the  three maids  who flocked to him.

The    Clerc  of Mina lead  the Arrows  to  a long  Table, that was now decorated  and full,  and all around the perimeter of the   square   peopel  were siting  at  tables  and  began to feats  while  more  Music  played

at a   table near the  temples (  a group of   cabins dedicated to certain Gods...Mina. Nar,Tra,Harg, Oleen, a smaller, newer  hut was there, that served   Eta  and Netta )

the   free prisoners  were sitting  have food   and drink..the Broken mage  seemed to  be stunned, but was eating  and drinking on her own.

The  Bards sang a few  songs, allowing the Arrows  to eat and Drink a bit..when  the  woman who sang the  welcome  song, spoke once more.... as she said,..We  Know  Captain  Kree  does not  believe in his singing Voice, but his bard skills run to telling  Tales... we will sing this  song, then have the CAptain..tell a tale, of this  Mission they have been on...

 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZno7ZAR-fM

the  woman     began to  play    the  instrument , as her companion stood  to sing... right away, the Villages   began to clap...including  Ivy   who was grinning like a  fool,  and Kree  who  had a pleased smile at the song...

the  other   Bards   added    what the  would, but the fellow did  the main singing

Two of the elders   joined in the  clapping from thier  table.. Krell just watched  his  son and   'his  people' as he ate.

Khorvar felt an overwhelming cheer and warmth run thru him as he heard the music and seen them dance. He was amazed at how well Stardancer moved. He nodded and moved to the music still some maid grabbed his arm and pulled him in. He laughed loudly and moved with a grace that no one would of thought his short legs could make. When the 2nd song came on he took his 2 hand axes out and began moving them in different patterns. He would tap them together when the bass drum hit following the music flowing like a leaf being tossed around by the wind spinning, dipping, and hoping. The whole time he was laughing and humming.

Luthien also had a go at dancing. Even in an elf village though, you can't quite take the Court out of the noble, and his dancing looks a little bit like it belongs in a castle ballroom, if anything.

Lucy could only smile as she saw the village come into sight.  She could smell the food and hear the singing from a distance.

She needed to change clothes, and got into something much more "social", and more comfortable.

Then she went to enjoy the party.  Like the others, she drank her fill, and danced well into the night.

How eager he is to hear more of their adventures after he had stayed behind, he waits till he next morning to talk business with his old comrads.

Re: Razorhawk Village, home of The Arrows

after the  Fire    grew  higher to  warm the   square, The BArds  call upo Kree, to tell the tale of the .

Carr, the Mute  boy  who had blessed the  Mage warrior in  a 'race' sat next to Inda  as she  chatted , he tried to make   sings and point to thing, they seemed to be getting along  well.

Kree  began   as the bard  strummed in the backround, telling the tale  of  the  trip to  Mok to find the missing Arrows. The takign of the ship, that now  is  an 'Arrow  ship" on the Lather  River... an d  the tale of how they turned the merchants around as they entered  the City to seek news.

The tale of  Taking INad  away from the Beggar's guild, and her part in helping them  find the place, and Inclu7ded the   one armed Drow who sta  Next to   Ivy  at the table...

The Story  told of the Tall DArk People who seemed to sacrifice othes to ..whatever  gods , they followed...perhaps  Demons?  as they had to   fight some minor  Imp -types... and the story of the small hairy  dark ones  that ate  other people..the tale of finding one Arrow, Just to find him dead a bit later... and the others who  Joined the   Unit.. he pointed out   Stardancer, Niphre, Khorvar.. and  the strange  , bird  riding elf, that ..either  flwew  away, or was brought  down by the city guards..

he told the tale of the   beating of the creatures in the Caves and   the   part Orlin and Luthien players  with thier   attacks... the  attack on the   Crater that , bith got the Salves away, and allowed  some of the    smaller dark folks, who did not seem as evil as the others  a chance to escape...The death of the Tall ones  and the strange leader.. gave the  crowd  some   cheering Moments...

one of the Elf Maids     handed  up a mug of  wine to  Kree  and   smiled ay him invitingly as she went off. He   drank a good have of it down..

I wanted to  set the Beggars  guild to rights... so we  entered the sewers while Brie d took the    freed slaves  to the ships.. As  The Sisters  would have it, there was a branch that lead to the  Merchant Lord's  quarter.... a chamce to strike  at those who sue thie r  coin to cause  suffering  among the realms...... so we went..bent of  , perhaps killing a few.. burning some Goods.. but...as always, Netta..or perhaps?  Etta caused   a foolish meeting , in the middle of  the street with a patrol... the battles  started   as we started  fires.. we  killed a few of the   troops  as the   dry city began to burn.... we could not escape the way we  came, so we went out  a Sally port... and there?.. was  The Sister's  goal... The Mok  Demon ship  sitting in its  quay.. all its dry and tarred  rigging,  sails  reefed   like   bark we use to start the slow  fires...   we  used  Pitch from the  city...  bottles of  Oil from our packs... and sent Arrows  into the   sailors  who  tried to stop the fires... when we   reached  our ships.. the   ship was  burning like  a demon in the deepest of the hells.. and the Merchant Lord's quarter  was  blazing.. the very walls they had sued to separate themselevs from the rest of the city.. was now thier oven.....

from there  we sailed home. on the ships that are now  allied to the Arrows... soon they will find the other ship.. and  a  set of  four ships  can ply the lather  river in service of the Timber..

Krell spoke up after people   clapped  and whistled.....So , My son, how does  this  aid the Timber..this sounds more like you have  aided  Irounmound?

 there were some grumbled.

ahh!..Father..t his is   why Ivy and  I can move  through the realms , as we do..we are not shckled  by the   boles of the Balck Timber, nor the  walls of the  City..... with Mok   hurting..perhaps  even on the verge of a civil war...we have  but to  set up a small Village..Much like Bow shot near the River.. protected  By the Timber  at its back.. we will be able to send Goods  down river... unload    near the trace Wood... trade witht eh   plains elevs who libe in their caves..... the  4  ships can transfer , many goods.. and  all the way to the sea?..they can also serve as warships.. and take prizes of slavers  vessels  and  add to the fleet, or even sell them to  the Empire for big profit ..but our goods can travel now?  to Trok, through the trace wood?... and  then to Ironmound, with out  having to deal with Tou, unless  we wish....

One of the  Elders asked,..Young Quickshadow?.. this could take eyars , even to get started?

Kree shook his head no,..we saw the    sential laying  in the grass  as we  came... that would be more then  enough  for  a  .Bowshot" type  wall that went  from the shore   to carev out  a  half circle, Back to the Timber... the Timber itself  could serve  as  it s rear wall..... we have people here, as  does  Timber Home, who know they way of arming  and   merchant lives....And.. the   CAptain of the three ships is waiting... I told him to wait at least 4 days?.. But.. all it would take is  some warriros, merchants  to take goods to them  now. hammer out prices and such,  and that would be the Beginning..  Once the walls  are set.. a dock or two..they the houses.. and the shops.. small patches fo crops  outside the walls....there would be danger?.. Catfolk, slavers... sandfolk..orcs? but int he  end, we  would have our people there...and   once  the  city is   setted in , river stones can be used  to  add to the  walls of the    Town..for now?.. it  would be merely  a merchant's   docks.. with  building  in which they live..but..once there is a schedule of the  ships, for when they will trying  for  more Goods, and bring us   goods as well? it could be a   place   people   come to as they travel..and Inn or two  would be needed for travelers   and   ships  crews...and ,  our first shipments out could be  done  with in 4 days....4  days to start  the  first shipments..and whiel teh ships  are gone, the wallas   are build, and word  send  down to Timber Home  to join in the  building, and the selling...

people were gettign excited, no more having to  deal with Tou..who treated  elevs  worse then  goblins!

..why is  4  days, so important to you...'Captain"...

Kree  down the rest of His  wine, and held up his  hands,..because  we   will be  going to the trace wood..to put the final chapter in this   story, as  we    find the   dark arrow, who sent  his  comrades to die in the  lands of the sand...we will  sail down  with teh ships   as  they start thier first every  merchant run as  Arrow Vessels..and None will be the wiser, Until we enter  the trace, and Hunt the traitor  down

granted, the  crowd  was  well fed  and well oiled..but.. the vengeance of fallen Arrows  was an important thing..but  a traitor to the Arrows.. the vengeance  is deeper  and dark then any that could  come to be.

The    High Elder stood,..it will be done!..on the Morrow, the  Elder   wil ride to see this Dwarf Captain... while we  visit with him, merchants will  perpare  3 ship loads of  goods,, and we  will tell teh wardens ,  not to sel off anymore of the fallen sentinel.. for she wail, once again, guard our people as  a wall... We will have the wardens send  word to Timber Home, this very  night!

and the Music  starte dup  again, Krell did not look to pleased, it was even worse when   people clasped  arms  with   Kree  and Maids  gave him hugs.

the rest of teh Arrows  were shwo3erd  with drinks   and Goodies, while the townsfolks  aske them to tell a few stores of thier own.

..we have always Dealt  with Tou. we used the river to get to Ironmound, or  moved along the roads... what Kree suggests..almost eliminates that!..

Kree    was walkign  abck to his table   after  , gently, shedding an elfmaid,  Again 'elder'  Quickshadow,  your lack of travel shows.... go to Tou, not as an elder..but as  a hunter..or caravan guard... and see how well you are treated... with the ships  waiting for  a company to start. and  use them... perhaps?  we  even  give the  4 or 6  archers per ship, to help   take down slavers  and  halfling ships..even the sandfolk, for  the sand  folk, outside the  walls of   Mok, to do deal with elves, they kill them!

..we need to strike  as  our name  says..Like an arrow..swift and sure..

Krell stood Up,..and?  how much to you intend you make on this.. how much gold will flow into your  Purse...

some folks  got  quiet and they looked at Kree.. Kree, looked  shocked. eve hurt by the words,..I am not a sailor?.. i willsee know coin for takign  the goods  to market..and  bringin   goods to out new market?.... I am not a craftsman..or a famer , who will make coin from this?... But the Village. of Timber  Home  and  Razhawk Villahe  will thrive...no more   Tou caravans  takign have our coin as taxes... no more   getting 'what is left' after  a caravan   stops in Tou..this is a shift in Power...'Elder'  ...The plains elevs  will deal with us.. Trace wood, trok.. and Vall... with easy  travel to Ironmound  , overland  from either Trok or trace wood...once the   ships  travel regular..and the   merchants  around the lands know..Tou will have to rethink thier prices,,and thier shipments...and if they send Goods   to our  new   town to  try and buy  a way  into our  business.. we  can charge them 2 or three times  the shipping rates,  to get back,  coin that was stole from us over the decades..

THe High Elder  nods,..Be the fire, that fights  the Fire... Young Quickshadow knows the path...  The wardens have sent runners through teh tress... we will look for  Timber home to have wagons her  by  midday tomorrow....this  will be interesting, but i do not thing   the money will flow as you think?

at first, they will think its  is  a one time caravan?... but we  have them  fly the Flag of the Timber.. and bronzefist wil tell them when he will be back for the return  trip.. when the realize it is a new shippign company.. then the coin will flow...

Re: Razorhawk Village, home of The Arrows

The  Dancing  slowed  a bit, but not the Music..  Peopel danced   closer together. the smell of   food was thick in the air as  people  cut of  slabs of meat from Dear and Boar
..  there were only a few dogs  about.. and even less cats

Single Razor  hawks  perched in the branches  as thier Bonded people   partied... some few were brave, or trusting enough, to hand near the tables  closer to the trees, where  thier  Bonded one or...some children  woudl  toss them slivers  of  meat.

One of the Wardens   sat down  By the  Crimson Arrows,he was Half-elven, which meant , that he was at elast second generation of   a outsider Human and  a Black Timber Elf.

Well met, Good Quickshadow!... I must say..I envy you... I should have took the path of  an Arrow, rather  then a Warden...

Kree  took a Mug of ale from  a Maiden who brought it over  and , included a Kiss  as she moved on to   gather  empty Mugs.

Well  We are Crimson Arrows.... we are the mercs.. some of our  funds  come back to the Timber... but out  tasks  are  purely   for aiding folk and  eliminating  the darker  folk... Arrows... guard  the  Forest and  take part in  battles outside our forest home?... You as a Warden, protect  the Trees  from within..and as we saw those who  breached the forest wall ,when we were leaving... it is not a Task that is easy..

the   fellow  was  well into his plate off  food, trying to talk around a mouthful,..Indeed... we managed  to capture   3 of those who got away from you... One  died  Last night.. the other  still suffers  in the    'Pitcher of slow death"..the first one died.. well to quickly...

Kree looks to the others,. 'The Slow Pitchers' are  massive Plants, they  feed on  animals  and  Insects..they have a sweet   flavored  nectar that draw  the creatures in,  if they are  Pulled into the  pitcher.. there  are  spines that  make you unable to move..yet?.. you can see   feel and hear ..unless, of course you were lucky enough to fall in head first..

the warden adds,... the nectar, sweet as it is..eatsd away at flesh..but does  no harm to   metals... when  a Big plant  dies  we   harvest it, to see if  coin and   such are in... we have planted   patches  of these  near the Tree walls.. it is amazing how many  enemies  has  managed to sneak in, only to   die inside one...

Kree   drinks from his ale, ..the  nectar  is supposed to be  quite  painful as it slowly eats away.... we have sages  who sell vilas of it to  the assassins  Guild in Ironmound..and..other towns  for that matter...  a drop or two in a goblet of  wine..and the  target  will feel pain, by the time  Blood  is  coughed up..it is  much too late for  any form of healing...

Orlin had smiled at star dancer "Another time, I'll have to catch you latter."  He went to the humble cave made by the long since decayed roots of a tree that he had worked on near the druids and put his things down.  The thrush mats on his bed platform were un maintained in the time of his absence but would suffice for the night.  He leaned his staff against the wall and changed airing out his clothing.

"You know you should be at the celebration." The old one intoned.

""I'm a stranger in a strange land my freind.  Just a curiosity that helps get the job done."

"You are a member of a good team, no more a curiosity than the blond horse woman.  This is her first time and she is enjoying life.  You firbolgs are too recluse.  You'd never be as strong as you are this moment if you had not gotten out of those mountains.  I've been bonding with the mages of your line for centuries and you are the first with any potential."

Stardancer had fun dancing.  It might have been her calling in another life.  Still she had forgotten something.  Something she should have done earlier, but was caught up with celebrating she had forgotten. She nodded to the musicians after one tune finished to let the others continue.  Soon she made her way to near where Kree was.  As he sat near where the older male they had met earlier was.  She heard they were related, father and son.  She also knew the elder was one of high position within the village.  She moved to show herself before both and waited until atleast acknowledged by Krees father.  "Honored Eldar" she began, with one front leg out and other bent slightly she tilted her head slightly.  A Centaurean version of a curtsey.  After rising she continued "I thank you for your Villages most kind and warm welcome.  I wish you and your people life, freedom, peace, and joy."
