Myranda gave a chuckle. They spar like Elk over a doe. Each striving to gain the prize. Whist the Doe seeks only the quiet repose of a harmonious Forrest. she taunted.

Re: Razorhawk Village, home of The Arrows

In reply to Village (msg # 580):

"Elder Krell, are you trying to say you think you know where his sister might be? Have you or someone else used arcane magic to scry her location? Being as she's related to you by blood, a sufficiently powerful wizard should be able to scry her for you, so if you have reason to believe she isn't dead, you should certainly say so.

To the Warden, "The huntress does not approve of slavery, though she does prefer cleaner kills to the Captain's methods of making sure people don't come back. After all, if you were hunting an animal, you'd put a single arrow into it and minimize the suffering you inflict. Still, I have been able to temper the raids with compassion...slavers usually have blackened souls, but every once in a while, I'll find a soul who isn't black in those dark places. I generally find such people have been conscripted or otherwise do not work willingly with such. Or they're very young boys or teens who don't seem to quite realize how much harm they're actually doing. ...Think of me as the mercy that tempers vengeance."

Orlin who had overheard Krays conversation with the elders stood awaiting the elders to be done with other business before asking about the mission in the high peaks.

The Dwarf, The  High Fighter,..If ye can  temper that one at all, yo will be  doign more then any other in this  Village. But fer me sayin' that,  its   nay a bad thing, for him to  be this way.... I hear some slaver  folks   will leave a  toen when they get word  of the Crimson Arrows  coming.... Also heard  bits of  rumors, there is  the scum who want to  make a name fer themselves, so they seek them out...  either way?.. it  thins our the  darkness...

Krell answered,..Ny Son came back from the Mists  with a half-elven  woman who carries my Daughter's  bow   and a necklace.....my...Son.... felt it   right to give her these things, as they found her Body...The LAnd  was haeful, to say the least... I would not be surprised to   see   My Son travel there  again, to  settle  scores , real  and  supsected.. but for now, he seems   happy enough to   slay Laynakians...

Orlin steps up as motioned, "This task you have for the crimson arrows in the Peaks, would I be too bold as to ask about it?  It might be wise to keep it in mind as we wrap up loose ends.  I have noticed problems are like spider webs around here.  They always seem to be attatched to something else."

ahhh..Yes.The High Peaks....   right before you left the last time,  Arrows from Timberhome    crossed  The Storm to  patrol the higher  Reachs  of   the  Peaks near the  Fur Man's  Chain. There are rumors of  Hargen  spies  and  troops   slipignover the    ridges  again, we  wanted to  see  the truth in these  rumors... a Razorhawk  with  a message attached spoke of   Drow led    scouting parties..but   no firm sightings... The messages stooped  two weeks ago..Timberhome  has asked  for the Crimosn Arrows  to  check on this.

Krwyn listens to the exchange between Kree and his father. Although he knows that Kree is certainly somewhat singleminded in his search for slavers, he totally disagree with the way Krel reacts to his son. Not only now, but every single time they encounter each other. There was not a better way for a father to lose his only living relative left.

Orlins face went dark. "That was a dark mission, even the old one had never seen such an abomination."  He sighs, "I Hope the mage lady we found recovers her sanity.  It is sad that she was unprepared for what she witnessed." then looked thoughtful, "Is there a wall map around here?  Something large and detailed?"

The  High Mage speaks ,..the High Peaks  are  independant.. The High Peak dwarves, howvere , our  the Black Timber and trace Wood, allies..and we are thiers.. there are  some squads of archers, that are rotated  from tie in the  High peack and thier home... Just as there are  Dwarves who  are in out  forests that help with Stone  work , and some Metal work..now  and then, not  all go hone , ebcause they like where  they are. Others..never come back because they  die in service....

..there are Giant Kin, in the High peaks.. and Dragons.... enither  tend to like  anyone on thier moutnains.

I do not even know  how she got past the Mists..whether she  escaped to their..or was taken..or follwoed    Slavers? I do   know my son and his Cousin  caused  some problems there  and there are a few less people there , then there was before they arrived...

....................

Dain was  contected by a sage with   a sealed Parchment.. he Bowed  to  the  Sage  and left. with out a word, but on a mission ,

...............

Kree looked at the Ruby Pin that was  handed back, and he  tucked  back into the little  box...It happens  some die.. some run, and some are chosen for other tasks..

Khorvar sat with his back against a tree and went thru his satchel doing an inventory of his herbs. He knew he was soon going to have to do some searching for herbs. He did not like being low and right now he was low. He wanted to head out, but what he was told did not sound like a good thing to do. He shrugged and finished going thru his satchel.

The show ended despite his great interest. Jason turned to Justin again.

"All right, so I'm part of your crew, no questions asked, but nothin's ever that easy. If there's no initiation to be held that's fine, but I suppose I have some questions before I can go about trusting the Crimson Arrows with my life. Are you ready or should I test someone else?"

The Elder  rose  from their  Morning Fest  and went on  to  thier  'offices'  to check  what missives  had  arrived  from Scouts  and wardens.

the pounding of  Hammers, on wood  or  metal  could be heard.. the smell of food  cooking  , that would be served  for highsun  and the  laughter of   children  running about, chasing Cats or  chipmonks.

from  a short distance    an elevn voice    could be heard shouting  out   orders   to ..nock....aim..fire.. the sound   of  shafts  hitting  targets   would follow.

some  Wardens  who worked the  night, were comign in for  food  and drink, and to   bring Missives, if anything of  import was found.

Myra   finds  20   men and women, of various  races lined ip in  ranks  of  5... A warden is    shouting out  orders ,  as they   fire  at  Targets  50 yards  away.

There are a few mor e   archers  ,  runnign from Hay bale  to Hay Bale.. shooting at  targets scattered   around to the   left of the main force... to teh right of the main force.. as  a few trees, that   archers  are moving    , either jumping  or swinging  , or climbing, then shoot at  Targets that look like people on horses.

Myranda moves over to the Warden and waits for them to acknowledge her presence. She produces her great bow offering it to them to inspect and try out, then asking if she could join in the training using the bow.
