various  places in Razorhawk Village

As the group wnet  through the center of  town once more, Kree  and Ivy took a  glance at the totem. Ivy  Grinned  and gave Kree a slap on the shoulder, Kree just  smiled  a bit  as they walked  up a trail that head to a Hillock near the  Southwestern edge of the Village. There  were a few elves with bows  and blades, wearing a tunic, they Noticed  Kree and Nodded, save  for one older Elf that born the rankings  of an Officer, You are Later. Son or no son...You should  nay, be keeping  an Elder  waiting.

Kree never  stopped  walking as he said over his shoulder,I am surprised he knew i was here...I failed to see him greet anyone who had  entered the Village this day....

The Officer turned  and  walked next to  Kree. You should show  more repsect..You might be an elder  yourself someday!

I lead  The Arrows..that is  enough for me...now..run along  and count heads or  whatever it is you do...and allow me  and mine to speak with Father.

Re: various  places in Razorhawk Village

The group  walks up a small path towards  the Home. An older elf  dressed in the tunic of the house bows to them..Well met, Young Kree..your  father  has been....waiting....

The elf  nods to him , his half-smile  grows  abit, Well met to you, Good  Fron...we will go to the Den. We have much to speak of, and My comrades and I need some information....

Kree opens the door, as Fron nods and  makes his way to the elder....The home is well appointed, trophies  of Hunts, both of animals  and people hang on the walls. When the  enter  the Den he points to the   bottles of  Wine and such, help yourself...as we await  my father....

He pulls down the Map of the lands, he pours himself  of tall galss of Elven Gold  as he  and Ivy look over the map...

In reply to donsr (msg #2):

Duran tried to stand out of the way as much as he was able. He being new to the Arrows he wasn't sure what was proper. He knew that meeting with an elder of the elves was a big deal and he didn't want to offend anyone.

As he stood there, he causually looked around the room at the trophies and various nick-nacks that filled the hall. The warrior let his mind wander back to his family home. He thought fondly of his family and of the home they had made and he allowed himself a brief smile. But now all that remained were the graves and charred remains of what was once his home.

Durzak goes around the room looking at the trophies on the wall and then looks at the bottles of wine to see what is available.

Rolf looks about the room as well, not impressed with the signs of past hunts.  It seems somehow disrespectful of those hunted.  He moves over to look at the offered beverages, Neither wine nor brandy was of great interest to Rolf.  A mug of ale or a refreshing draught of water would be welcome, but the rest just dulled e senses and the mind and Rolf there were catfolk to put down.

Re: various  places in Razorhawk Village

The  double  doors  at the far end of  the  study opened, an Elf  , slightly taller the Kree and Ivy, with darkbrown hair, eyes of  sliver  flecked  with blue.

My Son. You have returned. and Brought  some of your People with you...and...you are late...

Ivy turns  and waves, Well met  , Uncle Krell....

The Elder Quickshadow waved slightly to Ivy, Ivyian...I should have known yoou would not  be far behind....

Kree  Gives  a slight  bow to his father, Well met  Father....and we are  not late...we are just on time. My comrades  and I have  come from the river, where the Tou meets the Storm..we encountered  Gremblins...they took at least one of  our Mages...the other...had  thoughts of a carreer change...

Drasius  snickers,..and perhaps..a change of breeches...

Krell loos to the Drowess, adark smile on his face,And I see you have your pet drow with you....

Kree bristled  slightly,  is is  a Razorhawk now...and  an Arrow..there is respect that comes  with that..aye?

Krell nods slightly, As  you say. my son..who are these  others...

we have Duran and Durzak, who have  just joined the Arrows...Rolf and Justin  has been with me for a few tendays...we heard of Catfolk activity...we were waylaid  by the Gremblins, and managed  to bring 2 bodies  back for our sages and  mages to look at..now...we wish to hunt..what can you tell us...

Krell looks over the group,..any of you folk, that i have just met..have anythihng to say, before i get down to business?

Re: various  places in Razorhawk Village

Rolf gives the elder a nod by way of greeting, but Rolf contents himself to listening there after.  After all, there were catfolk to hunt and Rolf didn't want to delay that with pointless chatter, besides Rolf had nothing of import to add, though he found the focus on their arrival being late a bit tiresome.

Re: various  places in Razorhawk Village

Looking over the  others  with a nod, Krell walks to the  map pulled  down by Kree and Ivy. He  takes  an arrow  from Kree's quiver as he walks past, using it  to point at the map.

2 tendays  ago...the catfolk raided  a caravan from  Mouri...they took over half the people as captives..only two dead...only one  feline was downed...the head of the caravan said he saw a mounted Red Elf alongside a Lionman, watching the battle from a hill....

Pointing  down the map ot the  western side  of Ironmound, one  tenday ago, a caravan from the  Furman's Chain, was attacked  between  two of the  Emperor's  roadhouses...again, over have thos in the caravan were taken..three died...two felines  fell...this time, the Catfolk were  lead into battle  but a scroe of Red Isle Halflings...rumors say  a Red  Elf was commanding from a bit away...none of the halflings  fell....

Turning to Kree , Krell taps the map,...so..My Son...if you were raiding caravans  for slaves...and you attacked  , once a tenday..where would  you strike  next...and when?  the elder's  face held amusement. thought it was lost on Kree as he studied the map,  Both Ivy and Dras watched  Kree with a smile on thier  face, almost ready to cheer him on, against his father's mocking question...

Taking the arrow  from Krell's hand  he  moved  to Map, and tapped the map, Just North and east  of the  Black Timber.. It would be here...and the attack would be on the next caravan  heading towards the Forest  and our Village, since they can also go to Tou and some of the  towns cloase to the  Desret... They will have used the river to move thier prizes to the Karth swamp...thus? what ever they take here..they just head to the  South of the  swamp...and  will carry thier charges into the swamp, to meet up with  whomever  ships them out...then he adds,..the attack will come  within two days..if they keep thier  tenday schedule....we could move out  tomorrow and set up an ambush....and catch that bastard  Red...peel skin from him, until tells  us where thier  swamp base is....

Krell looked overly surprised, the  mocking smile gone....Kree just looked at him as he slipped his  arrow into the quiver....I hunt  things like this  for a Living father..while searching  for my sister..that you and the rest of the Village  seems to have forgotten....what aid you give us...there are some arrows in the Village that will follow me, if  i merely ask..but i know  not, what needs you have here....can you give us  anything ..to aid our venture...

Krell nods slowly,I have nay forgot, my daughter...I have a whole village to worry about..I cannot trapse across the realms , as my whims  carry me...as far as warriors go, I must talk to Fenric, we will see what he can spare...we will send them from the Village Tomorrow  night...if your guess is right, they will  move  down the road, and perhaps...get there as your trap is sprung....Go to   Eta's  temple...Tell the priestess i said you may draw what healing draughts she can spare... I will have rations  and arrows waiting at the gate for you by sunrise...other then that? I have nothing  more to offer you...The  price on the catfolk's heads remain the same, as do that of the  Halflings  and  The Red...if you are successful. any spoils  are yours  to take, I ask only...if you  have  extra weapons and such taken from the bodies of your foes..bring them here...we are  getting  a small movement of folk joining the Village, to join  your cause ...be wary , my son...Though  Ironmound is our friend...not many Leaders , enjoy the  thought of independent armies   growing  around them....

Re: various  places in Razorhawk Village

Justin considered the exchange between Father and Son then smiled pleased to learn of the Temple to Eta. Praise Eta he commented He wondered if these attacks were also a ploy to draw Red Arrows out, and into an ambush. Perhaps they were but then again they may not. The best he could hope was that they reached the area with enough time to scout it out before laying their own ambush.

Re: various  places in Razorhawk Village

As  his  father  finishes, the elf Nods, Have you heard  any news  of Lita..at all...

Krell's  face took on a slight pained expression as he said, Nay, My son. I was  about to ask you, if you  or any of your people had heard..Kree...you do know..that she may not live...

Kree's  head looked down, then snapped up at Krell's last words..Ivy moved to put  a hand on his shoulder....how dare you say that to me!  She is  an elf-maid...we both know haw much Humans lust after  such a prize....and i feel..somehow..i would know if she was dead....I...for  one...will , nay give up, on finding her...or at very least...word of her...

The Elder  Quickshadow  looked  somehow older  now...he nodded slowly, I am only able to wish you luck...and that Eta smiles  on you in your efforts...But  Kree....you can kill every last slaver, bandit, Red elf..and  anything else in these realms...and it  will not bring back Lita, YOur mother...Your you and Ivy's  friend,or her child....

Kree's head rose  just a bit, and for a moment, he looked bigger, perhaps , more powerful then he did a moment before,..Aye..I know that...we.. he jerks his  towards  Ivy,..know that..but everyone  we kill..we never..ever..take  another slave..nor bear arms against our Village, nor Ironmound...

Turning to the others, he says, Come  My friends..its  time  we Visit  Eta's home..and see what she gifts us with....

Krell gives Kree and  Ivy, both a pat on the shoulder, and a nod of his head... the Two Elves  head for the door, followed  by Dras...

So this is one of the reasons behind the origins of the Arrows Justin thought. Hath not they attempted to locate their sister using the divine guidance... he muses. Concluding further enquries upon this be made of his brethren. A quick look around reveals his musing could be taken as hessitancy to attend the temple of Eta. With a bow to the Elflord he Quickly moves to catch up with the others.

OOC: Sorry for the slight back post. I was out of town camping this weekend without access.

BIC: When Duran is introduced to the elder elf without thinking he offered the elf a formal, royal salute. After the fact the warrior hoped no one noticed. He stood silently as the map was brought out. He tried to memorize the improtant details. If they were to lay in wait for an ambush it was prudent to know all ways in and out of the area.

Re: various  places in Razorhawk Village

Rolf falls in line, glad to be done with bearing witness to what is a family matter of the Quickshadow clan.  That they lost a member is certainly sad, but that was their business and not Rolf's.

And now it was going to some church.  Rolf has no problem with the religious beliefs of others, long as they don't go pushing them on him, but he has little use for temples and priests and gods...  He knew what it meant to rely on strength and skill and good judgment and those had gotten him this far.  And when they failed, he would take his place with his fathers at the feasting tables for fallen warriors.

Re: various  places in Razorhawk Village

Kree Nods to Justin, Eta covers the realms of good Luck, Her sister Neta covers that of Ill luck...where most folks make thier mistake..is this...Neta is not  evil, she merely has powers  over the bad forms of Lucvk..Eta...is not purely good, she  merely governs the sphere of good luck...I pay both homage...I call upon both...I ask Eta to aid my quests  and my comrades...I asl Neta to have ill luck befall our  foes...In that...i have struck upon something, for ...i seems to have found the  perfect weapon to battle  most gods...The sisters, are at times, at odds....But both reward thier followers...andNeta, seems  to take great pleasure in  a person who proclaims to fight   for good...will turn top her...Eta..or so the clerics say...enjoys fighting along  side her sister, after all these eons of being set agains her...am i wrong? who knows, Good Justin, But i will not turn my back on either Goddess....not while  they seem to favor me...

Duran listened to the banter between Kree and Justin, and grinned at Kree's justification for worshiping both gods. Duran walked to near where Rolf was standing. "I suspect that of our group, we two rely more on common sense and the strength of our sword arm." he said "Don't get me wrong, I give the gods their due, but they seem more apt to help those who are smart enough to help themselves."
