Finishing  his caffee,  Kree  motions for the  waitresses to gather  the pots and Cups... He says FArewell to Krwyn, the Motions top the others, Let us go... the Caravan should be arriving at the Customs   stop in  less then an Hour...

Ivy  smiles a bit,...love this city, but  there is something to say for running about the countryside...

Just as Kree is heading out, a small buzz whizzed around his ear.  A tickle at the tip.

What shall you like me to do? Riku asked.  I see you are splitting?

Brie sees the small pixie starting to tickle Kree's ear.  She knew he kept odd company around and did her best to not give any notion to her arrival.

She gave the lass a nod.

Sounds good, she said as she gathers the last of her things.

Re: Ironmound...The City

The Group walked up the docks to wards the west, The Drawbridge was just Closing , after the Three masted  4 decked  warship came  from Up the storm river ( olant's  way).

at Least 30 Bodies   hung by straps on the ship's  ports side, At laast half of them were bitten in half.

The Name on the Bow of the  Ship, Was "  Eye  Of The Storm" tghere was  Battle damage and  the Aft most mast had been Jury rigged to hold sails.

Ivy  commented as the  group nearer the  Big Avenue  that wou/d lead them across the river  and to the Gates...I only see Humans  on this side of the ship HArd to tell whether they ran into  slavers, privateers, or  sailed all the way up from the  Sea?

Kree nodded but did not look hard,They won? there's no prize  trailing after them, so it either sunk or got away.....they captured  those bastards  from somewhere...

Lafisual is a bit taken aback by the display though with what little he had already seen in these lands the surprise quickly wore off.  The brutality of desperate times is what it is.

Riku was more than elated at Kree's repsonse.  Very well, Master Kree, she said with a confidant stance. I'll do as my current routine, run between Reedrick, you, and now Master Justin.  Bring reinforcements or send men out as normal.  If you need me, just whistle.  I'll return.

With that, she headed back to the wizard shop and then the Inn for restocking of her items.  Being a flyer, it was easier for her to dart back and forth between groups, but depending on where Reedrick sends everyone, her time between everyone may be longer delayed.

Brie trailed along with everyone and when the ship arrived, she looked on in silent amazement.

Well, isn't this a fancy way of showing your clout, she said sarcastically.  She looked from Ivy to Kree.  Glad Myranda isn't here, she'd probably be tossing her elvenbread at this sight.

Having seen quite a bit worse back home, not much surprised her.  If it did, she rarely showed it.

Diana watches the ship pull in and admires the way that the captain handled the threat of the pirates.  She nods approval to herself, mostly.

She has no problem with their fate at all.  She has also seen worse violence up north.

Lucy barely gave the bodies a once over.  She had both seen and done worst to pirates and slavers up north.

She smiled to herself.
The Marauders probably would have interrogated them, and then fed their bodies to the fish.

But that was a while ago.  While she doubted the North had changed much, seeing that level of violence didn't faze her at all.

Perhaps, in a way that was a comment on her own violent life.

After a good 20 minute walk,Kree and his team arrived at the gates. The tall skinny merchant waited for them,You are early.....

I told you, I would be here to check the goods with the guards. We do not escort anything, unless we see it with our own eyes...

With some frowning and looking around, the merchant lead them out to the customs stop. The guard captain approached the.Quicksand....You escorting this lot?

You know we must see what they have before we will protect it with our lives

but....you..accepted the contract....

no...we took the contract. I will accept it once I see what you are transporting.

Kree motions for the unit to follow the guard captain and the merchant.

Rolf let's the others pass, then falls in at the flank, as is his usual.  While he doesn't always agree with what Kree decides, he was quite approving of verifying the cargo before accepting the contract.  The gods know what these merchant types might choose to transport and if he was going to risk bleeding for it, he wanted to know what it was.

"Check the cargo carefully, captain. I'm not entirely convinced everything is right here."

As the guards pulled crates and  bundles Kree watched..The merchant looked at the clock at the station.

W when they were done,Kree said calmly.open those 2 plain chests....

  but.....why....it is...

it is to be opened.Or  we h we head off on our own and you have to get another company...

The guard shrugged, and opened the chest.Small vials of liquid were packed tight.

 Ivy whistled.....Engar  White....

Kree looked at the guard, then the merchant, those are not on the manifest.....

 Captain...we..
I Will not notice this. I assume you have all ready paid the guards. So..you will pay us another 200gold....now...and I will
acknowledge, that the guards have done their work...

The Merchant nodded with a wee bit of anger. ans motioned to a guild rep who began counting out coins.

Once the coin was handed to Kree,he  pointed to THE formation area.we will await you there....

As they waited Kree counted out 33 gold for each unit member.well now we know why they wanted us to escort them.If. bandits know of this,we  Will be busy...

Brie had kept watch out while Kree and Ivy took a log of the traveling manifest items.

When Ivy announced something new added to their quota, she walked up to Kree.  Exactly, what is it? she asked in a low tone.

Not that the merchant's rating all that highly with him to begin with.

Lafisual raises an eyebrow at the revelation of the extra cargo.  He's not sure the extra trouble would be worth the 33 gold, but then he's not so concerned about the gold anyway.

Brie was a bit shocked when she learned of its meaning.  Well that's not very good, she said.  Defintiely reason to have the best guarding it.

She had to take a few steps back from it.  One too much temptation and it just felt dirty and wrong.

Myanda poked at the small fire she had started when the gates started closing. Looking down the road she spotted Haildas and Justin standing away from the line on the road, and about 150' from where she was sitting. Pointing in their direction.

In reply to Krwyn (msg # 605):

Spotting Myranda in the general area she mentioned earlier, Justin strode across to her. Sitting on a patch of ground near Myranda and Krwyn, Justin glanced in the Elves direction.Master Krwyn there be little for any to do after we hath reported our successful completion of yon contract. Ast such each of Thee be at liberty to undertake what Thee whilst.
