Justin flustered as he wasn't informed as to the terms of the Contract so couldn't comment. One be given yon bar by the Patch House folk, in gratitude perhaps it be a bonus for the Rescued Women anst Children who be freed from slavery anst the Longboat. If this be in error One shallst returneth yon bar immediately.

Reedrick stares at him, and the Fellow stands after  downing his  drink,,,I best go find my people... we should be  leaving before  highsun...

Reedrick nods,..shouldn't  take that long..aye?.. since ya keep losin' folks...

Carn  glares , and walks out of the plank.

(( Cassie  and Myra   at the bazaar  ))

One of the  first tables   on the   river side of the bazaar  had some   'light lweapons' daggers   , slings.. sets of throwing  daggers, though it was clear that  at least one dagger  was  missing from each set.

As Cassie  looked at the dagger a woman in homespun  nodded to her,..most of the  things here  are from  folks who...did not quite..make  it, as  an adventuerer .. that dagger  there.. 2 Silvers. 2 silvers 5 coppers  gets you a sheath and  strap.

Cassie my dear,  would I'd be correct to assume you've haggled a few times over goods and services. prompted Myranda allowing for her to respond before continuing. What say you we explore the area as a whole before making any choices. After all one never can tell what bargains one may find in an open marketplace. ooc this should take about 20-30 minutes at which time Myranda may be able to locate a special item you may be interested in.

Re: Ironmound...The City

Cassie didn't dare admit that she had little experience with haggling.  Indeed, she rarely had coin to purchase anything.  Still, she looked at the holdout dagger longingly, then nodded to Myranda.  "Aye, I wish to look about."

She looked at the shopkeeper.  "Thank you," she stated, hoping she didn't look as naive as she actually was.

Re: Ironmound...The City

Moving about the Bazar the women visited different stalls, exploring what there was being offered. This assisted Myranda to pinpoint the location of a specific dagger, that she subtly indicated, to Cassi, was worth the effort of their search.

Re: Ironmound...The City

Cassie had followed, her mind awhirl with all she saw.  Blades, bows, armors, grand clothes that real ladies wore.  Foodstuffs that smelled unlike anything she had ever had and did not smell of decay and filth.

She looked at what Myranda had found, then used all of her bluffing self-control to not show her emotions.  It truly was a wonderful holdout weapon.  Very thin, clearly very sharp.  It was in a scabbord that had a slip hold that held the dagger in place and could release it in a moment.  In a word... perfect.  Especially perfect for a girl who's promised herself to never be helpless again.

"Can I?" she whispered.

Cassie listened... no one could claim she didn't like to listen. She looked again at Myranda, then had an idea.  She went to pick up the dagger, looking at it carefully.  "Its a nice 'un.  Good steel.  Y' thinkin' a couple silvers?"

Myranda nodded in agreement. Probably, it all depends on what the Merchant thinks they can get for it, and is prepared to bargain.

The person at the stall watched them... some other  folks were  crowding  around. One of them a Lanky young man with beat up leather  armor  seemed to  be lookign at the  Dagger  as well.

..I have people who want to buy?.. you want to buy? The crusty  fellow in the stall  asked...

Myranda was conscious of the crowd gathering about them, hoping Cassie would close the deal so they could move elsewhere. Dallying in the open like this market them as perspective targets for cutpurses or enemy company types.

Cassie stepped forward, firming her chin and trying hard not to look like as young as she did at her slight stature.  "I want to buy.  I offer a 2 silver and 3 copper.  That is more than fair and it is my offer.  What do you say?"  She gave her most earnest expression.

Myranda noted the tall fellow moving in to make his bid, which to her mind was being quite pushy. Done Master Merchant. Myanda stated producing the sum which she handed to the fellow. On receiving the dagger and scabbard she gave Cassie a I'll get your offer when we are in less clustered location, glance.

The  Tall fellow  looked a bit   upset. The Merchant took the  coin   slipping the Dagger into its sheath and handed it over.

The   people  didn't  take another look  as   others   moved in to   view  the  Merchant's  wares.

Maintaining a steady pace through the traffic that ebbed and flowed along the road they followed Justin's inherent alertness to possible threat, acquired through years of training and time in Eta's service with the Crimson Arrows. Passing various buildings the pair made their way towards the Temple.

..... continuing  down the  Ave to teh  Bridge, they   folks stopping and Looking the  80 or  so  feet down on the river. The  walls   and the  Gate a bit  higher then they.

Though it is hard to notice... Dwarven engineers from The Mound  check the  walls for  any thing that might be  considered  a danger to them..The tight  fitting stones, showed no   lack of  care.

Ropes  hung from the  Inside of the Bride....nooses  still stained  with Blood from thier last uses.

they pas the  west side of the  River GAte Guard.. the towers on either side of  all the gates  and the  Corners of the City Rose  another  20 feet above the   walls.. the tops  flat with   siege  engines     above to  cover  approaches to the city.

Lords   Ave    on thier left was passed.... Then the  St of Heroes...Until they Crossed the   wide intersection, with the road of Kings leading towards  the Palace...there were  some Inns and shops  o the   right side... the Massive   gate  that lead into  The City had   compounds  for the watch and Gate  guards on both sides.

on the    western corner  was  Beggars Corner. Many  people  sat , stood   or  walked .. asking  for alms..some where  lucky, some where not.. there were City Watch troopers  keeping an eye on them..not only so they remained honest..but so they were not abused  by the  people passing.

On thier left  9 as they walked west)  Justin saw Park Road...he knew  that lead  dow a smaller  road into the Back of the temples district..

In reply to Myranda of the Glenn (msg # 701):

Cassandra nodded at Myranda, planning herself to repay her later.  She mentally kicked herself for not knowing how much a dagger cost.  Then again, it wasn't as if she had actually bought much of what she wore.

Still, she couldn't help turning her head and giving the tall fellow an impudent wink a she left, a jibe for him not getting the dagger.

Re: Ironmound...The City

Myranda chuckled at Cassies chutzpah, she'd definitely fit in quite well with the Crimson Warrior Adventuress'es. As they strolled off towards some off to check out what other goodies they could pick up. You did a reasonable bit of haggling there Cassie. I suspect that fellow is kicking himself at what he'd missed out on. when they were out of hearing by anyone that observed the bargaining With the Sisters guidance you managed to pick up a dagger and scabbard worth over 1000s for less than 2s.
