In reply to Justin (msg # 703):

"So Justin, what can you tell me of Eta. Until ending up here I had never heard of the worship of Eta." Grimalkin had heard Eta referenced several times since his arrival in this land but had not garnered much info on her worship.

Re: Ironmound...The City

Cassie was in the process of handing over the gold to pay Myranda and literally stopped, her mouth open in shock.  "One... One Thousand?  Goddess help me, even I'm not worth a thousand gold!  Back home, they could sell the entire city for that!"

She looked at the dagger as if it were the most precious thing in the world.

In reply to Grimalkin (msg # 707):

Justin smiles pleased at the question. Eta be the Goddess of Good Luck. Resting a hand on his Light Green with Silver trimmed Tabard; he produces a silver coin marked with Dice. These be Her markings and Symbol he informs. Eta's Sister, Neta be the adverse. Some of the Crimson Arrows follow including Captain Kree anst Myranda of the Glen, and are referred to as the Sisters of Fortune/Fate or such.

In reply to Cassandra (msg # 708):

Cassie my dear, you think far to little of yourself. Come now; you are worth much more that mere coin. Can metal speak, laugh, love, fear or the like.. Besides its the enchantments it has that make it so, as you will find it is sharper than a normal dagger.

She reached up and placed a hand gently on Myranda's arm.  "I reckon you're right.  I just... I spent too much time on the streets, I guess.  Since before I can remember, I think.  You get used to being nothing.  And while I climbed out, I still feel like that little girl."

She shook her head.  "But now I'm one of you, so I guess I better get used to being special, huh?  And... thank you for the dagger.  And here's my payback.  I love it.  And look forward to... um... using it."

She looked around the stalls.  "If you wanna know more about me, let me know.  I mean, its not like you guys know me from anyone.  If we're gonna save the world, I can at least be honest with you."

Myranda gave Cassie's hand a warm squeeze. Thank you Cassie my dear, and you too can ask anything you wish of me or any of the Arrows. Continuing on the pair meander through the marketplace pausing here and there to examine different items.

Re: Ironmound...The City

In reply to Justin (msg # 709):

"I see." Grimalkin had never been much for religion, having spent the majority of his youth evading the plots and intrigues created by his Drow masters in their service to Lloth. But he had learned some of the other gods and goddesses worshipped in his homeland. "Eta sounds much like Lady Tymora from my homeland, she is worshiped as the goddess of good fortune and luck. As for fate I don't recall one individual god or goddess that embodies the ideal singularly. There are several that include it in their domain though."

Re: Ironmound...The City

In reply to Grimalkin (msg # 713):

Justin considers Grimalkin's comments, wondering about the realms of Divinity which were operating from the Drow's place of origin. Fortune be a valuable aspect to any Divinities outlook, how else wouldst they undertake to provide for their devoted in a manner which doth not necessitate continual care. The Pair of Crimson Arrows make their way along Park Road towards the Temple of Eta. To pass the time Justin provides Grimalkin an overview of the Divine Pantheon which exists in these Lands. link to a message in this game

Re: Ironmound...The City

In reply to Myranda of the Glenn (msg # 712):

Cassie followed the taller woman through the market, looking at things, having slipped the dagger into the fold of her outfit.  She would secure it in a hidden place later, but her hand remained on it as if to make sure it did not go away.

She leaned in close as they walked.  "You... should know... before you call me sister much longer..."  She swallowed hard.  "I... I have what I own mostly because of what I do.  I... steal things.  Mostly from rich folk that have more than they deserve, but that's what I do.  And I understand if you think I should not be an Arrow because of that."

Re: Ironmound...The City

Turning  down the Park Road. Thick tress   were on the  north side of the Road... sparse trees  , by lavish homes  were on the south.

Barely Visibe  to the south is the  Temple of Tra , a slighly Midsized temple...At the end , Park Road  turns into  the trees   to the   Temple District , proper.

however..there were 4 Temples  at the end of PArk Road.   NAr to the north..Oge  on the to the  North east...Nar  to the  South  east...

As they came out of the Tress they step onto the Road of Gods.. as they face  south.. Justin  could point out the massive    Temples  on the   east ( left as they look) side..

The Temples of Trall.. a Pyrimid  type.....Temple of Lenus aod  sped   'Bells , of sorts, with the   flat end, facing the   Road....A Very LArge  T shaped  Buildign   for the Alpower...Then the  octagon  shaped  Building of  Neta... and  Finally the  tall circluar tower of Eta, at the end of  the  Road ( the  beginning as most people enter from the main road)

Myranda smiled and nodded at the waiflike Arrow. I dare say we'll benefit from your talents... After all the Arrows have alliances with all manner of people. Take for instance how we sponsor the Urchins and Professional Ladies Groups, in Ironmound itself.

Re: Ironmound...The City

Cassie was in many ways a puzzle.  She was clearly a grown woman, if a bit waif-like, as he skin-tight clothing revealed.  But so many of her mannerisms, if not the result of little social contact, were those of a girl, naive and not at all subtle.

"I don't know nothin' 'bout that, but that's wonderful!  I wanna help.  You have been so nice to me!  I can get in anywhere, hide anywhere, climb any wall, and no one will know."

She seemed a bit embarrassed, pulling away.  "Sorry, I'm not used to anyone listening.  Oh, those are nice cloaks!  Maybe I should get one.  Mine's a little to thin, like me.  And I'd like one that blends into the dark better."

She instinctively reached down to feel her pouch, feeling the few gold jingle in it.

The   Woman who had the  clothing she was looking at hand   nice  dresses..homepun and tailor made.. ( though the  tailor made was 'last season' it didn't stop  the poor folks  from treating thier wives, or themselves  to  something 'nice' )

There  were  Clack of  Bright  colors, well made,. There  were the same for darker colors.. some cheaper ones,  must have been bough off of  adventure folks, because they  had   stiches in them, where Baldes  or  Arrows  might have poked though.

One Clock folks picked up, and put  down, seemed 'sadder' then the rest. It was a Very Dark Green. A clasp of Black metal in the shape of a Broken pad lock.

Pointing out the Temples of Alpower, Eta, Neta, Trall and Lenus, Justin strode towards the tall Circluar Tower which was all too familiar. Pausing at its entry to greet his brother's in faith, and if Grimalkin wished introduce him.

Re: Ironmound...The City

Cassie looked at the cloaks, a young woman's desire lighting up her eyes as she saw the bright colors, the fine stitching, even the ones on those that had clearly been mended.  These were so much better than castoffs she had obtained in the past.  How did one choose?

However, her gaze landed on the one that was being ignored.  It was a dark color, which she liked.  It looked a bit more 'used' than the others, and had no fancy stiching or decoration.  But it was the clasp that caught her eye.  She ran her nimble fingertips over the clasp, hiding a smile that was having trouble being hidden.  Much like the dagger, this spoke to her.

"I like this one," she whispered to Myranda.

Cassie looked at it, as if examining it carefully.  "You are right, the clasp is a bit odd.  But since nobody wants it, I'll save you the trouble."  She reached into her pouch, her fingers expertly finding the right coins (no sense showing off gold!) and handed them over.

"One silver, two coppers.  At least it will keep me warm, right?" she added with a girlish smile.

Myranda smiled encouragingly. It looks a reasonable bargain, especially with the symbol of Nar fixed to it, which may bring you to Her attention. That's if that won't prove to great a responsibility. adding her own giggle to Cassie's Extending an elbow for the Crimson to linking her own and they can continue their exploration of the Market wears.

She linked arms, giggling again at the difference in height.  "I don't think I've ever had so much fun.  Thank you for bringing me!"

Kr'wyn follows the conversation between Haildas and Nara and when they seem to fall silent, he seeks Reedrick and asks for a room. He has no intention to shop in town or visit one of the temples. He asks to be wakened early in the morning.
