Cassie was in many ways a puzzle. She was clearly a grown woman, if a bit waif-like, as he skin-tight clothing revealed. But so many of her mannerisms, if not the result of little social contact, were those of a girl, naive and not at all subtle.
"I don't know nothin' 'bout that, but that's wonderful! I wanna help. You have been so nice to me! I can get in anywhere, hide anywhere, climb any wall, and no one will know."
She seemed a bit embarrassed, pulling away. "Sorry, I'm not used to anyone listening. Oh, those are nice cloaks! Maybe I should get one. Mine's a little to thin, like me. And I'd like one that blends into the dark better."
She instinctively reached down to feel her pouch, feeling the few gold jingle in it.
